SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
Hi guys,
Has anyone tried SEOPressor, the WP plugin by Daniel Tan? If so, what do you think of it, if you don't mind sharing your thoughts?

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
I haven't used it. I've only seen the video.

Does it only add italics, underline, bold, etc. to keywords you enter into the plugin?

I see it also give you some seo suggestions as far as h1 tags go too.

From what I can tell, it doesn't look like a must have to me at the moment. Maybe I'm not seeing all it does. I'll wait on it.

Thanks Carol, I've blabbed on in this forum. Big Grin But that doesn't really make me any expert. There are many people here more knowledgeable than I am.

The above could be useful depending on what criteria they consider beneficial to SEO and could be worth the $37 the plugin costs.

Again, these things depend on what criteria they are using to determine good seo.

100% hype. Especially the one "Comes With Secret Algorithm That Correlates With Google." Come on now. Maybe they got Matt Cutts drunk at a party and got him to spill the beans on all of Google's secrets. Big Grin

I've got a lot of emails about it, but haven't had the time to check it out yet. Smile I will do so when I get the chance though...

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
I am using it at the moment on my MFA sites and a few Sniper sites. Like most things IM, it is something that could be done manually, and in fact should really be done before you post, but it does provide a quick check on your on page SEO, giving you an SEO "score" and also SEO recommendations where necessary.

The results are not totally accurate in their measurement, for example if the h1 tag is hyperlinked it doesn't get picked up. I have added a support ticket for this and a few other quirks and they confirmed and replied that it will be rectified in the next update.

I always seem to be in a rush and "time is money" as they say, so I find it a handy tool to have. I used to have IBP a few years ago and found it quite reasonable for analysing on page SEO, but never updated or renewed.

In summary, if you are reasonably fastidious in your on page SEO setup, then you wouldn't really need this plugin, however, if you are in a rush to just get your posts done and online (like me) then this can be a handy little plugin, ie. providing a quick summary of your on page SEO setup.

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
Thanks for the insight Coolykid. That makes good sense. I do have knowledge of onpage seo, so maybe it would be something to keep in mind, but not a necessity for now :-)

Again...thanks for your input!

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
I actually picked this plugin up and am testing it out. The seo tips seem pretty sound. I have run into the problem John mentioned though. It tells me that I need my keyword in an h1 tag. Well, I already do in my post title but it doesn't see it.

But, yes, the underlining and bolding, etc. is something that I know should be done but I never seem to have time to manually do it. This plugin takes care of that automatically which is good.

But the claims of skyrocketing your site to the top of the search engine is still too much hype. There's much more to good ranking than that.

But so far, the price seems to be worth it. But I am still checking it out and hopefully I will be able to report some good news on it if I can see that is having any effect on my ranking or not. Smile

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
There's a free equivalent of SEOpressor available from bloggerhigh.com

It does precisely what SEOpressor claims to do, but doesn't charge you $100.

Just thought I'd mention.

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
I see that you've posted about this plugin-in in several forums. Are you the owner of the plug-in or of the site, bloggerhigh.com, that is building a list with this giveaway? Just curious.

Partain, I'm always leery of free stuff....not sure what it's stuffed with, lol. Would hate to find a surprise in it.

Does it appear to be okay to you? I trust your opinion.

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
It put this at the bottome of your blog

"Powered By BloggerHigh The internet's # 1 content spinning generator."

With "content spinning" the anchor text for www .spinrobot.com

He's getting backlinks to try to rank the spinner for that term. The spin software cost $35 per year and you can get free trial for it (it think it was 7 days). But you have to set up a subcription through paypal before you can get it.

I looked at it, tried to paste in a USA. When it couldn't fit in there I didn't look any further and immediately canceled my subscription.

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
Ah, I just realized they are spinning the link. Now I see this:

"Powered By BloggerHigh The net's top autoblogging solutions."

With the anchor text being "autoblogging" and linking to www .snapcontent.com

no doubt they have several variations of this. They did say upfront in exchange for the plugin they get a backlink. So it's not like they were sneaking it in there.

But I'll just stick with seopressor. And by the way, I haven't really noticed that plugin making a difference in my promotions. But of course my marketing model is definitely not the typical one. Still, I know that what seopressor does helps so I'll definitely keep using it.

Yes, it seems they use this method to push PR, backlinks and visitors to other sites they own that sell their autoblogging stuff.

RE: SEOPressor WP Plugin anyone tried it?
I have just started using SEOPressor and will monitor it on a couple of my blogs and get back here with findings.

Like many hyped products I was a little disappointed in what I got for the price (multi site option). Compared with other premium plug ins out there, this really should be $17 MAX, in my opinion.

Maybe, for the price of a small backlink from your site, the freebie alternative may be worth looking at.
