Landing pages
Are there any better/cheaper programs that can help create quality landing pages to compare to LP Generator which is $600.

From what I see on the LP Gen sales page it does a whole lot more than just create landing pages. Affiliate Theme ($147) may do what you want. SaSh may be able to tell you more, I believe he has a link to it in his sig.

Cheers,
Rich

RE: Landing pages
Learning HTML yourself and then taking little bits of code from other sites is probably your best bet.

RE: Landing pages
I think the best way to create your landing pages is by not using a program to do it for you,
but by spending some time learning basic HTML and basic CSS, to create a landing page isn't hard
at all.

Also if you have the time, I recommend learning photshop too as you can create some amazing looking
landing pages and just slice them up and code them.

Very minimal coding is required to create great looking landing pages.

http://www.w3schools.com/ is a great learning tool

RE: Landing pages
Google hates affiliates .. now a lot more than in the past.

Having a generated landing page will not work anymore. You will need a landing website now days, with lots of good content on it and not a lot of banners on your site.

Hi,

I set up a new affiliate landing page 4 weeks ago. The following week it was on page 1 out of over 1.8 million results due to the correct domain name, keyword phrase description, h1 tags, etc, that is all on page factors. 5 days later the landing page disappeared totally from Google, while the privacy page, and a couple of posts on the domain remained searchable. I rewrote the landing page to be content focused, and it reappeared the following week, but now it is on page 3. I am now link building to get it back to page 1 and adding content posts several times a week to the associated blog.

I am considering going to squeeze pages with limited focused providing the reader a free report or mini-series where this content will be judged by the reader and not a search engine robot.

RE: Landing pages
I'm thinking about outsourcing it to someone who is already good at it...
HTML, PHP, CSS etc they are not extremely difficult to learn but it takes time. I'd rather be focused on my main task---getting traffic and convert it.

just my 2 cents

@gabibeowulf Google Doesn't hate affiliates. Its leaning Towards Squeeze pages and if your landing pages is not working it must not be scoring well with Google
But that has Nothing To do with Affiliates or Affiliate Programs.

@SEO_going I was watching a course today and they said that Google likes those squeeze pages Better then a long form sales pages. So you on the right track.

Also Russel Brunssen Has a lot of success with those squeeze pages.

RE: Landing pages
I make all my own landing pages using 2 things...

1) Artisteer -- With Artisteer, and having created about 10 different templates, I can easily go into any of these templates and tweak as needed for my landing pages. In other words, I use WordPress for ALL my landing pages. This way, when promoting with AdWords, I can very quickly and easily put up a new domain with several landing pages for the same product to use in my split testing. I just make the overall site look more or less like a static page minisite as this is very easy to do with Artisteer. I basically create ONE COLUMN WordPress sites with it with all other navigation links in the footer.

2) The Elegantio WordPress theme... I like this theme for throwing up new domains fast because all I have to do is create a header image, footer image, and content image. That's it. Upload them to the actual theme's directory and you're happenin'.

Both these themes make creating a landing page that works very easy... With both, you can easily SQUEEZE the visitor into joining your list and after they click the "Subscribe" button (after a short presell of course), you simply REDIRECT them to the actual landing page, sales page, or CPA offer you're promoting... This way if the visitor does not convert, at least you can hit them up later on with a similar product.

I've also used Easy WordPress Sales Pages and WP Sales Letter Theme (you can get a free theme to try out here). Both work very similar to the ones numbered above.

RE: Landing pages
Try to learn to do this on your own. Do a simple Google search on the subject and start building your own landing pages. This would be my recommendation.
