Spamming Ranks Page Better

I don't why spamming your links on to forums rank your pages better in the search engine. For instance, if type in "iphone 4 case" in the search engine , the site that has been rank first has use forum spamming.

Can anyone tell why does this work.

Are you referring to the website iphone4case.com. If this is the case the fact that the keyword is the website has a big part to do with it.

If I wanted to rank for the same keyword it would take much more effort from my end if the keyword was not the domain name.

The reason that pages rank better, in general, when your you have a backlink from forums, is most likely because those forums have gained google's trust. And by having your link there it gives your website some link juice.

It works with any type of website actually not just forums, but it is good to have a variety of links coming from all directions for maximum effectiveness. Such as article directories, web 2.0 sites, forums, video sharing sites, bookmarking sites, rss sites, you get the idea.

Just check the site backlinks and you will see that this is spam. Also having the keyword that your are trying to rank for in your domain helps, but you will need backlinks for this niche to rank 1st.

ok i see what you mean even though this may be spam since the forums have google trust he get some of that link juice

I've heard forum links are seen as higher ranking pull than article directory links. Not sure how true this statement is but I've used both forum links and article directory links to get higher rankings

This thing about forum links - do you get multiple links for multiple posts or does the spider just see it as one link from the forum??

has anyone used yahoo answer for backlinks? I posted there with some real feedback answers on a subject I had that related to a site - but when i do a backlink check i don't ever seem to be able to find it?

Even using the actual url - ??
