This one by Andrew Cavanagh and Jim Cockrum is also good:

I joined so long ago I don't remember what the price was, but I think it was a fairly reasonable one-time payment.

That actually does look like a really promising forum.

I might actually try some of their strategies!

RE: Great Offline Marketing Forum
Hi Guys,
I have been doing "offline marketing" since 2002. Frankly, I never knew what it was called until fairly recently, though.

A couple of years ago, I decided to go on a walkabout, forsaking the offline stuff to concentrate on the online stuff. Well, now I'm back much more aggressively with the offline stuff.

The reason I wanted to work more on the online stuff was because when you do offline, there is this little thing called the "cold call." That's where you must actually contact a stranger who doesn't understand or appreciate all this Internet stuff we do. If you are good at cold calling, and also at Internet stuff, well, you can own the world. My failing is and has been with the cold calls. Sigh. But, the fact is, that offline marketing can be a better way to make a living, if you are struggling with online.

I decided to offer my services as someone who understands SEO and Online to beginners and intermediates, but especially to beginners as a paid mentor.

The challenge is that when you know there are folks like Vita Vee out there who forgot more than I know, you just have to screw up your courage to call yourself an "expert." So...I don't. I know I'm not the best. But, I know I know a lot more than some. So, I took the plunge. So far the phone hasn't rang off the hook. But I'm just getting started.

I'm assuming that if you are here, you already know the tenants of online marketing, and may not need a mentor. However, if you are thinking of going offline, you might need some advice.

The system I use works...if you want to put the work into it. You will probably score with one to two out of ten you approach. I know offline inside and out, and have learned even more lately by studying what others have done, and refining and understanding better what I came up with on my own years ago. Offline seems to be catching on lately.

I'm selling what I know. But I also am glad to help with general questions, particularly now as I struggle to establish myself.

If Vita Vee will allow, I will put a link to one of my pages here. The thrust there is general online stuff, but, if you are interested in learning how to put together an offline program that will work for you, I'm the man that knows.

If you can build pages and overcome the difficulty of cold calling, you can be the master of your destiny. (I'm still working on the cold calling thing!)

Vita Vee, by the way, laid the foundation for the way I research and SEO my websites with one of his early courses. It's second nature to me now. And it still works every time it's tried.

RE: Great Offline Marketing Forum
I found out about John Durhams's offline forum (The Telemarketing Forum) through Warrior Forum. From what I can tell so far, John is a very straightforward guy with a lot of heart. The way he took the lead on the "Save Kim Winfrey" charity drive really impressed me.

Having said that---here's where I am on the "offline" idea. I have been helping businesses do truly "offline" guerrilla marketing for years as a rep helping set up face to face promos, distribution of samples, etc. For some reason I never really embraced helping them with their web presence. It's partly because it was so "technical" to contemplate in the late 90's when I first got going that I let it intimidate me. But to paraphrase Marlon Sanders---things are so much more user-friendly now that there has never been a better time to do IM Smile
