The Best Spinner - How does it work for you?

Hi guys,

I purchased the trial download of The Best Spinner yesterday
(version 2.38) and I am testing it. There are some bugs in this
software, all functions don't allways work (e.g. 'replace all').
Also when I insert an article from text file into Article view
all paragraph breaks dissapear so it looks like one big paragraph
which is not good at all.

I wander how it works for you, did you encounter bugs/problems?

I would appreciate if you post the bugs/problems that you have
experienced so that I can verify them.
Then I could send the list of bugs to their support desk and
ask them to fix it all.

I found a few bugs and tried to report them but as far as I know Jonathan does not have a support desk. Instead you are supposed to report bugs on his forum. Which is what I did, but I never did get a satisfactory response that way, which was rather frustrating. As much as I want to like TBS, I find that I don't really enjoy using it. I guess I've been on a Mac for too long and don't like using Windows programs, and my background as a software engineer makes it hard for me to overlook buggy software.

It's always a problem when something is quoted out of context. If you read the rest of the BHW thread you will see that the moderator admitted that he may have acted hastily so he reinstated me. I am still a vip there even now.

Also in that thread a full explanation was given by my partner of the activity observed by the OP. In fact, what he was observing was activity that you will see by many applications that you may have already, such as TBS and Scrapebox. In short, what he observed was simply normal activity.

He later admitted that he knew nothing about .NET programming and made it clear that he was just 'asking the question.'

If you want any further clarification I am happy to explain here.

Whether you believe our explanation or not is up to you, but my words are as valid (or invalid) as the OP at BHW. If you choose to believe things on an arbitrary basis then you will not get far, especially on the internet.

What we need is facts - what evidence has been posted to show that SpinnerChief operates suspiciously? - None. How many users have been affected adverseley as a result of downloading/running SpinnerChief? None. Draw your conclusions from these facts.

I have been following this saga, and appreciate your warning email VV, always better to be safe than sorry, but so far there has been no proof presented that this software is malware, only unsubstantiated comment and rumor and repeating of rumor.

In the mean time I will not be installing the software, but will continue to monitor the situation until I am satisfied that the software is safe.

If the software turns out to be kosher, then I will definitely be using it, and more power to the spinnerchief team for providing such a great tool for free, but maybe they need to consider the full consequences of doing business in such an aggressive way (i.e. severely undercutting competitors). As is proving itself here, you will get a very aggressive response (yet still unwarranted due to the possible lies and misinformation).

I have heard a lot about the SpinnerChief controversy, but didn't know that they had started posting it in the Warrior Forum.

I have also been through the long thread which discussed the problems that have been raised previously, and it seems that no substantial conclusion has been arrived at from the current details, in spite of all that has been said and done...

The overall discussion of the problem was based more on how the author and poster handled the problem, than the technical aspects that might be cause for concern.

It would be good if the author of the software would explain in-depth about the reason for the current understandings so far along with proof, screenshots, technical explanations, instead of just defending their position, which is what they seem to be doing on other forums.

Just saying that others are making rumors about this software stealing cookies because they are competitors and that they want to promote their own spinner, just makes it sound all the more suspicious and it is too one-sided a point of view... It's natural that people voice such concerns, of course, because they are worried of their personal information.

This might be a good software, or this might not be... But just saying that the software is safe doesn't change anything.

The software does not raise any alarms with anti-virus or anti-malware programs, but seeing that the software was custom made, it might be easily made to bypass these should it have been made with bad intentions. However, this might not be the case at all...

But anyways, at the moment there are other free options for powerful spinners that don't require downloading software, if one wants to be on the safe side.

One that I have tried recently is http://contentprofessor.com/ and it seems to be a good solution. The software is entirely online, so no risk at all...

Proof of what exactly? Screenshots of what? Technical explanation of what? I have no idea for the reason of the 'current understandings' - whatever that may mean. People believe whatever they want to believe, we have no control or understanding of that.

All we can tell you is that SpinnerChief works, it is clearly superior to TBS (it has a few bugs admittedly), and it that it is - amd always has been - totally clean. If you think that there is anything suspicious at all about SpinnerChief - please, post your evidence, and let's discuss it.

so in other words for all thos who have downloaded the software, been using the software, there are new updates made for them. the users get notified and can even talk with each other on the "official" forum. If it would be malware, you wouldn't update your software and just let it flow on the internet?? Or am I wrong? anyway i've been using this for awhile and never witnessed any problems. It's actually an awesome software!

Since I posted this software name in this thread I will say that if you prefer to be safe, don't download it, or wait until proof has come up. Right now there have been only accussations AND no proofs of it being malware, stealing paypal accounts etc.

Yourproblog you're wrong, if it is a malware there is more reasons to update it, especially after the "rumour" has spread.

Because the projectors are now on this app several programmers will try to find if it is harmful or not so the update comes in handy... he could have removed the malicious code for now. But this is ONLY speculation.

However the way he responded makes me quite worried (especially his theory on jealous competitors) and I still recommend to stay away from this app for now:

alright well I've removed it from now on until further notice. If you have installed this piece of software, just remove it and run ccleaner. A virus/malware/trojan scan can be recommanded.

No infections found here, as I said it runs smooth and is a very good product.

You could also see his attitude as a guy who has no salesmanship, maybe a good coder but he is not a salesman at all, which is maybe also why this tool is free. This is obviously the best scenario... I personally really hope this software will be proven to be clean as it's really good and according to me much easier and faster than TBS.

Let's see what the future brings.

Thanks again VV for the warning, but the more I look into this, the less suspicious I am. The guys associated with SpinnerChief are not acting like they are up to no good.

They are active on several forums, have what appears to be a proper business website with a open user driven forum. The software is being regularly updated, they are seeking input on improvements and are happy to be associated with it. Not the usual actions of someone distributing malware (maybe except for Microsoft ;p)

Whether the OP on BHW was deliberately being malicious in his post, or just misguided in his over zealous attempt to warn others of a possible perceived problem remains to be seen. And there is still no proof that this software is anything other than what it claims to be.

Just my take on what I have read and researched so far.

I have read that thread at BHW and I agree that no evidence has been brought even though the droped cookie with the paypal strings is a little bit scary.

One poster said that TBS does the same thing and that it's common with .net apps. Interesting. Does anyone have the time to check this? By creating a small .net app that connects to the internet and then checking the cookies.
