marketing on facebook
Would anyone care to share any of their experiences using facebook as a means to help generate affiliate income.
Do you get plenty of traffic from facebook groups, do you redirect this traffic to your own websites ? What are the pro's and cons of using facebook with respect to affiliate marketing ? I am noticing many new approaches to marketing products on facebook that I don't understand--probably because they are new methods and we all havent learned them yet. |

I'm a big newbie when it comes to promoting on those social sites, twitter, myspace, facebook etc... It seems that it takes a lot of time to use them and this is why I have always stayed away from them. Maybe it's just because I don't know how to use them efficiently though... RE: marketing on facebook
Those of us in Canada are aware that today...it has been determined that Facebook infringes on the Privacy Act. No one is certain what the outcome will be yet....but, it can't be good. keep you posted.

RE: marketing on facebook
I once heard that promoting via Facebook PPC is highly effective and
at the same time more economic than using Google AdWords. Just an idea... I've never used them myself. |

RE: marketing on facebook
A friend had suggested that I look at social networking sites like Facebook to set up business on. Since that time I have spoken with a few people who have aired concerns about their pages being sabotaged by competitors and mal-people. I wonder what ways exist to protect a business owner from this kind of action? Facebook in particular seems so widely used that it seems a missed opportunity not to look at it seriously as a channel.

RE: marketing on facebook
I'm been doing PPC (and only PPC) for a year. I never tried social media up until few months ago. My experience with facebook was not the same as paid search. High bids, increasing competition, low ctr is some of the things that knock your campaign down.
1) Average bidding targeting US male audience on facebook is some\where around $.80. So you got to pick a high paying offer. Something like zip/email submits won't work. 2) Only if you can keep you ctr above 0.07%, you have a chance of lowing you bids. Otherwise, impressions will start to go down and cpc will stay high. So to succeed on facebook, you have to watch your CTR. But mostly importantly, you have to target your ads to right demographics. Otherwise you'll be losing money. -G p.s. oh btw, it is very hard to get your ads approved on facebook. When you submit your ad, it gets reviewed by a manual reviewer. If they deem your landing page is not appropriate or if they don't like the offer you're promoting, they will disapprove ads. |

RE: marketing on facebook
I use to put a lot of stuff on facebook, until my sister yelled at me.
Make a different account than one for your personal stuff if you do. If you want to put real ads on facebook then read on. I recently have been using their CPC(cost per click) instead of just impressions to advertise a website of mine. If you look on your facebook account, on the right you will see ads, one of them may be mine. You can do this for free for the first $100. Coupon website is below: http://www.redflymarketing.com/blog/free...y-of-visa/ If you want, you can cancel it anytime, just watch it so you don't go over the $100 mark, that way you get a hundred bucks in free advertising. There may be better coupons out there, just Google facebook coupons, that's how I found this out, |
