RE: Pop ups, slide ups, exit splash
So you have to put a link something like "click here" and then where is the new url? What does this new page look like? Can you load op a crap-load of web 2 site urls all at once and do them all at once?

RE: Pop ups, slide ups, exit splash
Umm... it is a bit hard to explain it in words.

Let me show you an example.

http://www.slideincode.com/users/183/Vit...Forums.php

See... I created this URL with the Slide in code. It directs you to our forum. The only difference is that there is a slide in box at the bottom. Smile

Well, you can only do this one at a time.

So for example, if I want to recommend people to our forum, instead of directing them directly here, I give them this link. And they will see a slide in at the bottom.

For this particular slide in, I'm using a banner though, not an opt-in box.

So, the principle is to basically build your backlinks to this URL instead of the original URL. If I'm not mistaken, you can rank this URL in the search engines as well.

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate...

RE: Pop ups, slide ups, exit splash
So it's framed or something.

Mmm, so if someone happens on a web 2 site that I created, they wouldn't get the banner or optin. They would have to visit the slideincode url to get it.

I don't normally build backlinks to my web 2 sites other than from other web 2 sites and the rss feeds.

And not having the ability to do it in bulk is also a negtive for me. But it looks like it wouldn't serve my purpose anyway.

Yup. That's right. Smile

Have a look at Ultimate Footer add.

Its a one off payment, but I think it does the same.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for that - I actually bought UFA and it's looking really good. Just need to set up a custom graphic now!

That was the one thing I didnt know if you can do. So, if you want to add your own ebook custom graphic to it then you can?

Cheers

I think so. Theres just a folder of png graphics that I'm hoping you can replace or amend. I have seen bespoke slideups on other sites, so it should be OK.

I'll let you know!

Yes you can add custom themes so it's pretty flexible!

RE: Pop ups, slide ups, exit splash
There's other things you need to factor in as well that can get you those extra leads or not.

For example: the offer, copywriting and also basic layout of the box will heavily determine if someone opts in or not.

You don't want to promote dog training optin boxes on an Internet marketing blog. Wink

Lightboxes works great.
