how long does the money last after a product launch? I know being in front page of google for the launch will yiel thousands of dollars..but how long does the initial rush last? Are there any benefits of maintaining number 1 spots for older products? What are you experiences! Thanks!

Usually after about a week or so sales will dwindle down to pretty much zero and ranking for it really serves no purpose. Normally, I stop promoting a product soon after launch.

However for some products, especially software, it is good to stay ranking for it. Software often sells long after the initial launch. Also especially popular and high quality internet marketing products will sell for a good while after launch.

But for most products, only expect to get sales in the first week or so.

Jack, are you finding that you still get enough "trickle sales" from all of your product reviews to still make "more than a day job"? I'd think with as many page one rankings as you have, that surely you are still managing several sales a day from all of those promotions, even if they are months old...or no?

The trickle sales are far from enough to quit my day job. They are not very much. The product launch model is not one that has a lasting income stream. You will get spikes of income from a popular product when it launches but that's pretty much it.

It is a good model to get in to because of the high payoff potential. But you should definitely at some point seek out niche sites that will supply you with a more steady income stream.

for long lasting income yeah, unless you want to make it full time doing product launches. That will get very draining. They are competitive and hard work.
