Domain question
When purchasing domains for your niche/authority sites, blogs etc. Do you guys purchase private registration and pay for certified domains, or is that a waste of money?
I have posted this question in a few forums and never gotten an answer. I assume that one of the purposes of creating an alternate online identity is to protect your private data... but I'm only assuming. lol Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Chris |

RE: Domain question
When I purchase a domain I also purchase the private registration, it's not a waste of money!
Doing that you protect your business and don't show all your organization (related websites) on eventually niches you discover or you have success on. Stefano |

RE: Domain question
If you purchase from namecheap.com the whois guard is already included for the first year, so you don't have to pay extra for it.
I'm not sure what a certified domain registration would be used for though, perhaps if visitors were purchasing directly from your site this would be an indicator of trustworthiness. I only get the whois guard so that my info isn't publicly available, and like I said it's included from namecheap. RE: Domain question
And you can get it the next year at a discounted price if you search for a coupon.

RE: Domain question
Which company is it that will only take paypal? Is there a reason you can't get a paypal account?
For domain registrars and hosting both, I am pretty sure you can simply use a credit card. Perhaps you don't have a credit card.... In that case, I don't know.
