Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Hi Vita or others,

Yeah, i haven't purchase the 0 to profits yet, no money yet. But I plan to focus on my existing courses, earn good money then purchase the course. Anyway back to my original question and the reason i post here as I can see great participation here.

** posted in warriorforum, but i would rather listen from Vita himself or other contributors here Smile

I am wondering anyone can shed some lights for me in this forum. After all you guys really make money over here Smile proven Smile

Wonder which theme is Vita using for his sites which can cater support for blog style and landing page style?

My original posts in warriorforum... hope you don't mind Smile

============================

I had searched the forum and see many recommendations of wordpress premium themes - thesis, studiopress, woothemes, flexsqueeze, socrates, headway, artisteer, frugal, elegantThemes, etc. So I am lost deciding which one is suitable for me.

I use some free themes before this, so not really satisfied with the look. I know look is not important but I believe premium themes have better ROI in long run.

I am not really a pro internet marketer, just starting out less than a year. Can consider IM noob.

I have very limited budget but I am willing to invest hopefully it is just 1 time investment for all my sites. Yeah, I know thesis and headway are really super expensives, plus after convert USD$ -> Malaysia money, really a lot! so hope it is really worth it.

I like to ask for recommendation.

FYI, I am a full time IT professional, so to me technical stuff is not an issue. Just i prefer less complicated coding so i can focus more on contents and marketing.

Also as mention before, I have 1 budget for this and I don't want to make mistake.

I am looking to have wordpress themes for 2 scenarios:-

a) blog style - simple look and less complicated design, easy to customise... here is an example blog style that i am quite keen - e.g. thesis theme

http://easythesis.thesisthemes.com/ (non affiliate link)

b) landing page style - so i can create my own landing page and optins based on top of wordpress platform. If can allow me to put in those guarantee images, testimonials box, etc will be good.

I am looking for the wordpress theme which can provide me good skin/theme to use, not have to buy each time.

I am looking for wordpress theme that is good for SEO and monetization too. like easy to add adsense and also amazon affiliate links.

Less complicated to use, continuous updates (always updates and free for existing subscribers) and support from the vendor. Good tutorials for free to setup too.

The theme must works and compatible with wordpress plugins like all in one seo, and others.

Studiopress to me is rather complicated with graphics and too much distractions, so I am not sure is a good choice. Plus if I start from scratch, my site can be very empty using StudioPress themes.

Socrates I heard was powerful, but I feel the theme is rather ugly .. not sure why so famous though?

any help from warrior forum?

To be honest, I kinda like thesis and flexsqueeze. But again like to hear your thoughts on this one. Only have 1 budget for 1 theme only.

thanks again.

Looking forward for my 1st sales -> 10 sales -> 100 sales -> auto-pilot Smile can't wait!

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Authority Pro launches on the 9th. When I saw the video my jaw dropped.

23 possible widget placements. Sqeeze page generator. built in exit pop up, affiliate link creator (I believe it is a cloaker), much much more. I will definitely have it.

I am promoting it and hope to get review access to it. If so I will immediately replace my socrates theme with it. Socrates is good because of it's customization abilites. But it has nothing compared to Authority Pro.

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Hi Partain,

How much is Authority Pro? I am okay to wait though, hope not too expensive.

The video is not out yet, yikes Sad

So Authority Pro is so so much better than FlexSqueeze or SalesPagePro or WordPress Sales Engine or something similar, but you know this product is not out ... will it be another over hype product like so many others? I almost felt asleep with all this latest product launches either courses or software ...

plus is alex goad reputable and reliable? nowadays very hard to say .. even i notice one IM guy is called fraud now (read this from other forums)
http://milessentme.com/buzz-about/matt-h...imwarfare/
http://www.azfamily.com/news/consumer/On...54718.html

at least thesis or other themes are already out in the market with some proven testimonials and constants update...

oh ya, can Authority Pro do sites like the blog style, similar to the thesis sample above?

plus i saw this in their blog

"The Authority Squeeze Generator is one of our most closely valued tools in the arsenal that allows us and now you to build high quality squeeze pages that convert like crazy… and with blinding speed and ease."

>> to me, it really boils down to whether you can write a good convincing sales copy, so even with all this tools out there .. if you can write the right way, no way it can converts too even with Authority Pro Tongue what do you think?

Is Socrates really that good? Coz the overall visual seems so ugly to me.. does it coverts really so good? I still wondering why ... and socrates even better than thesis?

any help?

Looking forward for my 1st sales -> 10 sales -> 100 sales -> auto-pilot Smile can't wait!

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Alex is like most of us. Marketers trying to make money. He is one of the respected guys around and generally has good stuff.

This theme was actually developed by a programmer called Bryan McConnahea. Alex is partnering with him on it. Alex partners with people like that because he is well known and can get a lot of people to promote it.

I have seen a demonstration of some of the features of the theme. As part of prelaunch they are going to be (or may be already) giving away the "Authority Squeeze Page generator".

This looks like a killer theme and I will for sure be using it myself. If you like you can wait until after I've tested it and can tell you more about it. It will be heaven for me with many on page seo techniques that I use. Big Grin

Jack
Oh the single site license is $97

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
My two cents:

I have used only Thesis and not others you mentioned and it's flexible but that may mean different things to different people. You need to know little bit of PHP and esp. CSS to go crazy with the customizations. A lot can be done from the control panel (design options etc). Gives you great SEO options like allowing you to decide what tags, descriptions etc to attach to each post.

You won't be able to test drive it unless you buy first.

They have an active forum where you can get answers to most/all questions. Price is 87 for one site and $164 for dev. license which allows you to use it on unlimited sites that YOU own and can also remove the attribution text (this theme designed with thesis etc).

You can have a look at what blogs have used thesis on their gallery link: http://diythemes.com/showcase/

Hope that helps!

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Yeah, you really don't need any paid theme. I had a free theme for a long time and it worked just fine for me.

After a while though, you're going to want more functionality. Authority Pro is about the best looking theme for functionality I've ever seen. Of course I haven't acutally used it yet. But from seeing the video, if it can do half of what it says I am definitely having it.

yeah, you know what Smile i plan to use the blogv2 (vita's site) or the flexibility theme 3.0 for blog style websites.

maybe for landing page or optins can consider the authority pro, sure i can use your affiliate link to purchase, maybe you can add some bonus .. hehe Tongue

downloading the videos for authority pro, let me see what so special with that Tongue

oh ya, which free theme are you using?

i thought you were using socrates here http://corinzander.com/reviews/wordpress...pro-review

any help?

Looking forward for my 1st sales -> 10 sales -> 100 sales -> auto-pilot Smile can't wait!

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
I am using socrates now, but I used another free theme from the same guy who made bobv2 for a long time. (can't remember the name)

I'll add some bonuses to my authority pro bonus page before launch. I appreciate the purchase if you do decide to get it. Smile

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
oh i see ...

but seriously, can authority pro really replace socrates? coz socrates to me is blog style theme not landing page theme like in your site corinzander.com?

OR

will you still use socrates for blog style and authority pro for landing page/optin style sites?

just to confirm Smile

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
It's going to replace it for me.

Honestly I'm not really sure what you mean by blog style. But I'm going to enjoy Authority Pro in part because of the flexibility of the widgets. There is a ton I will be able to do with that seo-wise Wink

Truthfully, I feel limited somewhat with socrates. It has a lot of customization but still seems to be limited it presentation style. In other words, you can tell that it is socrates. I *think* that AP is going to give me the ability to make it look like whatever I want it to.

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
oh i see

when i say blog style .. means like your website http://corinzander.com/reviews/wordpress...pro-review

and landing page style - http://www.deadbeatsuperaffiliate.com (no affiliate links, no worries) - which only has 1 page and no links to other pages

yeah, i agree .. i really really don't like socrates presentation style .. it is not nice at all .. i don't expect too graphical as it will slow down my site, but at least it is nice to see Smile

so the way i see, authority pro can do blog style as well.. am i right?

Looking forward for my 1st sales -> 10 sales -> 100 sales -> auto-pilot Smile can't wait!

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
OK, that's a squeeze page and yes, it can make squeeze pages very easily. In fact as part prelaunch they are giving away a squeeze page generator.

I didn't say I didn't like the way socrates looked. I think it looks just fine. Smile I just mean that I think I'm limited in customizing the way it looks.

Yes, you are looking at a blog on my site. But I can also make squeeze pages with Socrates.

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
I would advice to validate theme's CSS and HTML before buying it. Sure, Google may not care about it, but personally i do not like seeing hundreds of errors under the hood. Especially when i am paying money.

If for some reason i will decide to buy a WordPress theme, i would go with Genesis Framework.

btw, if you will decide to change your mind and go with a free theme, i would recommend Hybrid or Thematic frameworks. Hybrid is the best free framework.

RE: Looking to purchase one premium wordpress theme, any recommendation?
Little update here on Authority Pro. I do have the theme and will be transitioning my site over. It could take a bit because there are so many options and my site it pretty big. I'll have to be careful switching it over.. don't want to break what I have now.
