Any good website to build profile links?
Hi everyone,
It seems many people are doing this. Any good website which I can do profile links and create backlinks to my website? any recommendations? hehe ![]() I think website which has higher page rank is better right? But one thing I don't quite understand, for example if i create a profile at a good website (maybe adobe, say page rank 9), but when i check my profile link ... it has page rank 0 .. so does that mean it is a bad site to create profile for backlinks? any help on this one too? Looking forward for my 1st sales -> 10 sales -> 100 sales -> auto-pilot can't wait!

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
Profile links are normally made on high page rank domain sites. The created profile will almost always have a page rank 0 because the page is new. It will not have enough authority for a high page rank. But it is still very good to have a link on a high page rank domain. This is almost always the case. (Vita does have a technique in the F0TP members area for getting a high page rank page backlink. he he)

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
Hello everybody. I'm new to affiliate marketing and have been neglecting my link building.
This thread just caught my eye. Fisrst off, all my sites are "keyword".com domains in low competition fields. I've read about posting links on profile pages in forums, but I don't see any place to put any. I've also read that they count for very little and spam up the site. But I shouldn't need very much link juice to rank my sites, they have great content. But they are pretty new. Should I be doing this? also, what is a web 2.0 website? Thanks in advance, Michael Time is Money...Author Unknown |

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
Hi Michael, the best kind of links you can get are from web 2.0 sites.
What are web 2.0 sites you ask? Web 2.0 sites are sites where the content is user generated. Some popular ones are twitter, facebook, myspace etc. But these are not the kind of sites I'm referring to. I'm talking about sites that you can post a bunch of content along with your link. Some of these kind of web 2.0 sites are wordpress.com, webs.com, and hubpages.com. Getting backlinks from these sites by submitting content with your links inside is much better than the forum profile links strategy. RE: Any good website to build profile links?
This helps alot Nik, thanks.
And I am more than willing to write some quality articles so I can include my links in them. My niche is health, so if I write some health related articles, then link to all my sites through all the aricles I've written, is that a good plan? I've heard of wordpress.com and I think it's a place where you can post your content. My sites are wordpress sites, but I know that's totally seperate. (wordpress.org) I recently signed up with Squidoo, is that on equal ground with the sites you mentioned above? Or should I do all of them? My niche isn't that competetive (no exact match domains), but I still want to get a leg up on the competition. Thanks again Nik And btw, it seems perfectly logical to me that these links would mean more than the profile links. Time is Money...Author Unknown |

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
You can definitely use all the sites I mentioned, squidoo is another good one, and there are many more actually. The only thing when you use wordpress.com and hubpages is that you want to be careful not to make your articles sound promotional because this is when the administrators will come in and delete your work. Try to make them sound beneficial instead.

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
My first priority is SEO since my search term gets alot of exact searches.
And the article itself will be "good" quality and original. But will the admins snoop around my links. They will be related to the article because I only have one niche. But they would be able to tell that they are all my sites. And I would like to come back and add in links as I get new websites up. Which one should I try first, wordpress.com sounds like it would have high credibility with Google. Also would it be a bad idea to post identicle content on say wordpress and squidoo. I don't think I need that much link juice to rank my sites because they are all exact match domains. And I also need to spend time writing for my sites. Btw, I am a huge Napoleon Hill fan (Robert Kyosaki too) Is chuawenching still around here? I was reading one of his older threads, and I think the book Think and Grow Rich would help him a lot. Also forgot to mention, most of the sites I'm trying to outrank are Wikipedia, and Ezine article pages, and a couple "website name".com/"keyword"/ type pages. Thanks Time is Money...Author Unknown |

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
I don't think the admins will snoop too much. It's a matter of making the article sound natural with the links inside, but it sounds like you can easily do that since you will be writing the articles yourself.
Wordpress is one of the better web2.0 sites, i think it has a domain rank of 9 or something like that. I would recommend posting unique content to the different sites. You can either rewrite your articles, or spin them to get a somewhat unique variation every time depending on how well it's spinned. chuawenching is here yes, I'm sure he will be reading this thread very soon if he hasn't already. I've read Think and Grow Rich before, it was quite good. I've heard great things about "rich dad poor day" by Robert Kiyosaki, as well, so I plan on reading this one next. RE: Any good website to build profile links?
I agree with most of what niktodorov said, however it really depends on where you go and buy those profile links. They say you get what you pay for and I found this to be really true with profile links. Most of the services you find will be really cheap and you wonder "20k links for $30? that's cool" but I can tell you, it's not. Most of the time these profiles will be created on lists that have been spammed to death or have been shared somewhere else. These providers blast links to your site and it almost gets no improvements since the profiles sit on low-quality low-PR domains that aren't active anymore. Such links are a waste of time.
However, I found there are also a few expensive providers out there and tried one of them and to my surprise that really gave me great results (but I used that for medium competition keywords, gotta see what it does for higher competition keywords). Right now I outsource all my profile building to that guy since I don't have the resources to run xrumer or something (I heard you need a dedicated server for that because it's so resource hungry?) but I still build web 2.0's myself, as well as article distribution, blog commenting and a few bookmarks for these secondary tiers. Works really well for me! @niktodorov: I think profile links can really be effective when they come from a list of high quality domains. As PartainSR said, they will have PR 0 in most cases but are still inner pages of high quality domains. That's the same with web 2.0 properties, isn't it? Apart from them having a relevant content environment around your links of course Anyway, I think everyone should look into a diversity of links, not just from one source. |

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
The real power of profile links comes from the fact that you get links from a TON of different domains. But to get the most benefits from them you have to put your links inside a block of text. Try to have at least 2 or 3 sentences before and 2 or 3 sentences after your anchored keyword.
Links outside of context don't have the same impact on rankings. They seem to pass the same PR juice though. SEO DONE FOR YOU - Real People, Real Success... Read the amazing testimonials!

RE: Any good website to build profile links?
Squidoo and Weebly are good web 2.0 sties too and they let you make like a mini website and they provide the facilities to moniterise the pages - so you can link between these and to your main site.
I was a little put off at first with these because I just thought the usual forum type web 2.0 but after 10 - 15 minutes i loved them - you can put up adsense and amazon ads too NICE :-) Nicholas |
