Single product review site vs. mulitple product reviews on single site
Hi everyone,
Which one is the better way to go, one product review on single site vs. multiple product reviews on a single site? For example, http://www.euserreviews.com/ ranks high for various product keywords. But there are some site that are just targetting a single product review (http://www.thesisdiscounts.com/) I guess there are arguments on both sides but let me tell you why I'm asking this. What I'm trying to find out is to go out and build a mega review sites or a collection of individual review sites that target only one or may be few related products? Thanks |

I think you are probably better building one site. You can build it into an authority site and have it rank very easily.

RE: Single product review site vs. mulitple product reviews on single site
Thanks but looks like VitaVee is hinting at doing a variation of the multi product on single site using a general domain as well as keytword rich domain name: http://vitavee.com/forums/thread-42-post...ml#pid3465
I personally think (without any testing data to back it up) that if a single site is targetting a single product name or few related products (say in keyword researc category: KE, Market Samurai etc), you have an opportunity to do more articles (posts in wordpress) on the site and target few latent semantic indexing type words as well. I don't know but with single site I think you cast a wider net within that category. Using single site for multiple products, I think it is certainly easier to manage all of them in one place. Thanks for your input. (11-23-2010 05:06 PM)PartainSr Wrote: I think you are probably better building one site. You can build it into an authority site and have it rank very easily. |

Well, I think we are thinking about different things. I was thinking about the IM product review model like what I do. They are all IM niche products.
With the niche ultra spinnables, yes, I think you would be better to be more specific with a site. But that's not to say a broader site will not do well either. You could do for example all health related products. Ultra Spinnable Articles | SEONuking | Commission Vantage | Membership To Go | King Commissions | Rip Curl Commissions |

Sorry about confusion. I'm thinking about IM products like your model or VV model.

I'm almost thinking of doing both because if you stumble upon a site that specializes in one product, it's less distracting but on the flip side if you have multiple products on the same site with one ranked (in terms of reviewer's ranking not search engine's), the user is likely to make a decision because he/she would find multiple products reviewed in one place and one of them is the best buy for the user. I hope I'm amking sense. I have the review model in mind where you review not only just one product but also compare it to related products in its cateegory. RE: Single product review site vs. mulitple product reviews on single site
It really depends on what your plan for the website is.
If you want for this site to become an authority sites in a specific niches, I think its best to pick a broader name that's not necessarily specific to one keyword. This way it will become like a brand when the site becomes more popular. The benefits also are that you have the ability to expand much more, and over time you will be able to rank much easier for different keywords in the same niche. But the downside is that it will require more effort. If you want to create a websites but don't have the energy or knowledge to created as an authority it is best to stick with a set of a few closely related keywords and also have the keyword in the domain. The benefit here is that it takes far less effort. Have you become an employee to your own business by chasing first page google rankings on a daily basis? Start working on your business, NOT in it.
