I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
Hello everyone! This morning I received an email from a guy who I respected so far as a lot of my mentors, but unfortunately I realized he was not respecting me the same way! First I would like not to disclose his name here in this forun. To preserve it. I'll explain how everything happened. Every day we receive many emails from recommendations of various products, some we are closed already know why this is pure span, trash someone just wanting to earn some money from you, but when we received an email from someone we respect and we follow and believe that not only want to help us earn some money but they also want to give some valuable information that can help us in our business, we do not expect to open as quickly as possible right! Well, today I received one such e-mails we all do as I open and see what it was. So after reading I realized he was a product called indincando autotrafficmonopoly.com he did not explain much of what was just said .... Now go to the sales page and buy now because they are only 300 copies. Then as he was a guy I respect a lot went straight to the sales page and know this product as I think many of you have noticed a bad product is just software to throw money away, with many upsells anything of value. I felt neglected and disrespected by the dealer where I placed great confidence, he simply misjudged my intelligence, yet in order to take my doubts last visited worriorforum just to confirm what I had imagined. Immediately I sent an email to the trader stating the reason that I had just taken my name from your list and I was sad about his treatment on his list and he should reflect on its recommendations. So this is a little advice from someone who is a beginner, but I'm not stupid. Be very careful about the information products that you send to your list. For this reason now I'm only following two fantastic guys. - Vita Vee. - Mark Ling These are my only mentors from now. Sorry my bad English Health & Much Success to all. Obrigado.. |

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
There's an old saying that goes like this...
"A fool and his money are soon parted." I think what is more accurate for the online era is... "A fool and his list are soon parted!" |

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
Most of the big gurus guys promote IM products. I have unsubcribed from most every list, I rarely get these emails anymore.
I think Mark Ling is great. He teaches well and shares a lot of info. But I was really disappointed in him after he sent me several emails promoting Traffic Siphon. Read what Vita has to say about that product. http://vitavee.com/forums/thread-1334.html I replied back asking if he was sure and his representative assured me he backed it. I don't trust the so called Gurus. Maybe an exception or 2.
Trust your common sense and research - not the "Guru". |

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
I think a lot of marketers get excited at the thought of sending out a quick email and earning a bunch of money from their list. But sometimes they forget to sit back and really decided if it's a promotion they should send or not.

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
I am on a lot of lists just to stay up with current trends.
Here is what I see- if you see a product (it doesn't matter how much you think of them) that is $37 with automated software to make you rich overnight and it has a headline like: "See How This Autopilot Software Made Me $79,486.43 in 27 Days" with all sorts of screen shots below to "support" the claim- STEER CLEAR. No matter how much we trust some marketers, it really comes down to our common sense and we all know deep in our hearts that you don't really get the good stuff for free. Sometimes there is a jewel in the marketplace that is way undervalued but it is very much the exception rather than the rule. Here is what I like about Vita and this forum- Vita gives an opinion AFTER TRYING IT HIMSELF. That goes a long way in my book, and it is refreshing to see the absence of a lot of ballyhoo over silly stuff in this forum. If you are a newbie, stick with this forum to research and ask questions before you commit to a product or plan of action, because the answers are surely here. Breach of trust is really a tough one to recover from. Trust is gained quickly and lost even more quickly. Well that's my .018 cents worth (2 cents after taxes)

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
Hi Everybody,
i just registered here and this is the first thread i have read. And it gave me a GOOD feeling, that this is the right place to be. I am into Internet Marketing for a bit more then a year now. And i thankfully have my mass unsubscribe phase behind me. It is sad to see, how little i have accomplished in this time. And though, i realize, this is not the only problem, a huge part of the reason were definitely these permanent email pitches hitting my inbox. Day in, day out. After having bought a product, promoted by someone i thought, was on the "good side". But turned out to be so bad, i could not believe it (one of these 37$ Push Button Make you rich type offers), i finally had enough. I kicked everybody, that was only sending pitch after pitch, completely out of my inbox. Then i set up an extra email adress and went through the remaining ones, that offered at least some kind of value and changed my subscriber options to that adress. Only a handful of marketers are now allowed to my primary email. And it feels much more peaceful now to open my inbox. I know, what i find in there, really BENEFITS me and adds to my business instead of distracting me and keeping me from moving forward. Looking forward to participate in this nice place here ![]() Isabelle |

RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
Welcome to the forum Isabelle,
Your not the only one that fell for promoting some really cheap push button products that didn't do anything even close to what was promised on the sales letter. I promoted a product like this, and I had access to it and everything. It was a somewhat decent product nothing mind blowing, so I put everything I found in my review. Then, 3-4 days into launch I took a look at the sales page and it was unbelievable the things they were promising. I stopped promoting it right away and updated my review page even though I was making quite a few sales still. I've been more cautious ever since on the products I've been promoting. Also make sure to take a look at some of these awesome threads: http://vitavee.com/forums/forum-49.html http://vitavee.com/forums/forum-31.html Nik Have you become an employee to your own business by chasing first page google rankings on a daily basis? RE: I was betrayed by one of my mentors!
It is unfortunate that this happens, I have found things on the internet, cautiously applied techniques or tips they tell you - and then only to be inundated with spam and junk products - lately I have noticed that I am getting rubbish mails from people and companies I have never signed up to - does this mean that these "Gurus" are now selling on their lists?
Keep up the good work vitavee Nichols |
