Who is using Facebook to market and keep in touch with prosective customers ?

They are now the most widely used website - surpassing google
They have thier own PPC program
Im suprised there hasnet been more talk about it on this forum

I use facebook everyday. I made the switch from Myspace a couple of years ago and haven't looked back since.

I need to just get in there and DO it. Unlike a lot of folks, I don't want to use my real identity on Facebook. I think I could be a wicked networker there but the issue of aliases is one I need to solve first.

I think PPC will be quite helpful in Facebook,Its a big community to interact and do the site advertisement there, I dont the Facebook PPC offers but one must keep in mind the PPC cost too.

Are there stats indicating people are using facebook to search for specific items vs logging in for other reasons and then just happen to see something of interest?

It would be interesting to know.

Yes FB is now the social media place to be, either for business or meeting friends.
More and more corporates are looking at FB as their second website.

I've building a good list using facebook but you need to approach user differently to how you would normally do so on other sites..

You need to be more relaxed in your approach instead of doing the hard sell..

I've set up quite a number of fan pages on there and notice that different industries respond to different things on there..I have got groups from fishermen to hair salons..and solar panel companies to dog walkers.. so its best to do your research first, then see how the top guys are interacting then move out from there.

Also on the PPC side of things its way different than Adwords...not only cheaper, but extremely targeted you can target down to the endth degree.

I have not yet used facebook for listing.
usually i dont like that system.
