Excellent Resource For Backlinks

Hi guys / girls,

Found this great site for finding your backlinks (I don't think it finds all of them but good resource none the less), it also shows the anchor text, how many other outbound links are on the page, and whether the link is a follow or nofollow.

1) Enter your domain into the search
2) Wait a little while until it completes (may take some time depending on how many links you have)
3) Once done, you will notice a link to download into a spreadsheet
4) Then you can do whatever you want with the backlinks (eg. bookmark, ping etc..)

and you're done

Thanks carl, I have tried this site - but everytime I put in my URL it just says no links - yet I know for a fact i have about 10 to the page and if i go to the links manually they all work??

What is an exact sample of a search string for this site please - Obviously it will show backlinks for any site so I politely request a sample of something that is not sensitive lol

You can try this domain - vitavee.com and see some results. Or select one of your competitors domains (sneaky way of finding out how they are doing it).

No tool will show all your backlinks. MajesticSEO does their best to do that though.

This tool appears to get it's backlinks from yahoo site explorer which will show maybe 5-20% of your actual backlinks. It's not unusual for a site with 10 backlinks to show none at all in a tool.

Yes, especially if the site is pretty new..it may take a while..but once you do this resource will be pretty helpful

I have started to show on blue backlinks - I have a question which I could not find the answer too on that site - they use abbreviations for the data they show - my question is - what does ODL stand fore/mean and how do you interprut the number - is it small is good or is it big is good? If a link has an ODL of 25 is that better than a link which has an ODL of 100? or vise a versa?

It does say on the page OBL Outbound Links which means total external links found on backlink giving webpage. The smaller the better, cause if the page has a page rank of 6 say, and 25 people link to that page, you will be splitting the PR6 between 25 others, compared to a page that has a PR6 and 120 people have links on there, then it will be split between 120..so it will eventually reduce the effectiveness of the PR.

I am sure there are many software solutions that can do that, but this is a free resource for everyone. It's especially good if you are just getting started online.
