RE: Will I Lose My Google Ranking If I Move Host?
No, if your second host is in the same country as the first.
Marginally possible if you choose a host in China and target US traffic. Ofcourse if your website is optimized well and has enough content even that effect will be minimal. This is my opinion and I am no authority. |

Thanks for the input.
Really stress me out whenever I thought of moving a website. Will read and wait awhile. |

RE: Will I Lose My Google Ranking If I Move Host?
I had to move all of my sites and the damage was minimal. I went from Canada and UK (two hosts) to US. I actually moved due to bad service on private hosting that used to be superb. I am now on Hostgator - cheap, cheerful and it works. I save at least $400 a year on one host and $200 on the other. Hope that helps.

I am kind of in the same boat as well. I have been really disappointed with my current host, and fear that switching hosts is going to be such a hassle. Obviously, I don't want to pay any cancellation fees, but I also know moving EVERYTHING and all my personal/account information will just be so complicated..bah!

Me too. I use iPage. It's $3.49 a month for hosting unlimited domains. I like most everything. Their interface is great and loaded with features, pages load fast.
But their customer service is sketchy at best, and some of their features don't always work right. I foresee a headache... Time is Money...Author Unknown |

You may think about switching to hostgator. Their customer service is outstanding. They are always available for instant messaging support and often help with things that are really out of the scope of what they should do as a host, such as scripting problems on your site.
I think they will transfer your sites for you. You may contact them and ask. And the price for the baby croc plan is only about $10 a month for unlimited (add-on) domains. Jack Ultra Spinnable Articles | SEONuking | Commission Vantage | Rip Curl Commissions | Affiloblueprint |

Thanks for the input Jack, Actually, they respond real quick. It's just that sometimes their info isn't real reliable. 2 reps will tell you something totally different. But I've heard that about other services as well. I wasn't expecting too much for $3.49 a month.
