![]() Focus And Action Review Today I am going to review a different kind of product than you normally see me review, however I think it is very worthwhile reviewing because it can help solve probably the number one problem most people have when they embark on starting an online business. Focus and Action is a productivity training program produced and taught by Shane Melaugh, the Swiss Internet Marketer. You may remember I reviewed his last product Backlink Battle Plan in May of last year. My first impressions of Focus and Action are very good, it is well thought out and presented in a logical manner with each training module building on the previous one. Shane is very good at delivering his training and goes into great depth to explain all the aspects and theory's of each module. All of the training is delivered from a members area using high quality videos, there are additional resources referred to in some of the videos and Shane provides the appropriate links where necessary. There is also a 21 page down-loadable pdf this however is only meant for reference and by no means covers all of the training in the videos. Here is a breakdown of the Training Modules. There is a welcome video as soon as you login which tells you about the site and how to use the resources and training materials. Other than the download page, where you can download all the videos and a pdf companion, there are two main areas of training.
I will take look at each one individually starting with the Quickstart Modules. Quickstart Modules This section is further broken down into 4 points: 1. Leechblock - This is, in my opinion, the single biggest factor that stops people building a business online and Shane explains the concept and points you in the right direction for some excellent resources. The concept is so simple yet highly effective. 2. ToDo - Here Shane looks at the importance of creating To Do lists as well as looking further into the best ways to make productive actionable lists. He also has some great resources to help make this task much simpler. 3. Guru Bucket - This is not a new concept and it is something I do myself and have done for a long time but it is very necessary to set yourself up for a productive work environment. 4. Goals - This section is self explanatory but again an essential part to the puzzle and should not be skipped. Ok that was the first Quickstart module of Focus and Action and this takes no longer than a couple of hours to go through, although it may take a few hours to implement some of the things Shane suggests. Now I will walk you through the Training Modules which will take a you a little longer to work through and I suggest you implement some of the early lessons and break this down into easily manageable chunks so that you can absorb the information properly. Training Modules This section is the core of the "Focus and Action" training and is broken into four sub-sections each containing several lessons. Below you can see a few screen shots that show you the various subsections and lessons rather than me listing them. As you can see from the images above Shane covers a lot of information and training in Focus and Action all of which follows a set pattern or flow of training. Rather than listing each of the individual training modules within this section and giving you a short synopsis of it. Instead I am going to pick out a few of the things included in the course that I already use and implement. The first area I would like to cover is from Core Modules 1 and is entitled "Learning vs Doing". Many of you will know me as a teacher rather than a student, well before I could become a teacher I also had to learn. The difference I see between myself and a lot of other peoples teaching methods of "Making Money Online" is that before I even entertain the idea of showing or teaching others how to implement a strategy or method, I make sure I have implemented it myself and that it works, this I feel is a fundamental difference and what I think is the core message from this section of Focus and Action. Shane covers what the vast majority of prospective Internet Marketers tend to do, and that is spend an inordinate amount of time learning how to do things, like SEO, PPC and any of the other skills needed to succeed with an online business, and not enough time actually implementing that learning before moving on to the next and as such never achieve any meaningful level of business income. The next topic from Focus and Action that I will cover is in my mind one of the most important lessons you will learn from Shane's training, Goal Setting, there are several sections within the course that cover this in varying detail and from different angles and timescales. There is a reason this subject crops up in the course so much and that is because it is so important. You will hardly find any successful Internet Marketer, in-fact any successful business person, that does not set goals. I personally could not have achieved the level of success that I have without setting goals and targets on a daily, weekly or monthly level as well as longer term goals. You will all have heard about, if not subscribed to, my Ultra Spinnable Article service. I could not have achieved the delivery of this service if I had not broken it down into smaller parts and set targets and goals to build the service as a whole. This is still the case today as I continue to expand and improve this service. I hope that the two areas of training I have highlighted will help to give you a better idea of the training in Focus and Action. I chose to present my review of the main training in this manner because I wanted you to see the value of the training related to a real person. There is much more to it than I have highlighted and there are also things that I have learned and will be implementing in my own business strategies and daily routines. Conclusion Focus and Action is not a money making, Internet marketing system or method, however I believe that it will help many people achieve a higher level of income from their online business even if you only implement only a few of the ideas and principles that Shane covers. Although I already use a lot of the methods that Shane covers in the course I found that there are a few things that I would benefit from implementing. I also think that there are a lot of prospective Internet Marketers who would benefit immensely just by implementing the Quickstart Methods. In short my conclusions are that if you are struggling to Focus and take Action in your online business then you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not invest in some kind of Mindset or Business Strategy training. To that end Shane's course, Focus and Action, fits the bill and is far cheaper than attending a seminar on Mindset yet just as useful. I do have a few words of advice for anyone that chooses to invest in Focus and Action, and that is do not try and go through the whole course in one sitting. Implement some of the early lessons and set aside some time each day to Focus on the lessons within the course and more importantly take Action on them. I hope that my review of Shane Melaugh's new training course "Focus and Action" has been of some use to you and that you can if nothing else take away from this review that some kind of organisation and focus is the key to your success with any business venture. RE: FOCUS And ACTION Review
Thanks for this post Vita. This concept explains a lot of my problems. I go ahead, and I do stuff, but sometimes I don't know what to do. And I have trouble staying focused.
It's not that any one thing in internet marketing seems hard to do. It just seems like there's a lot of different things that you have to do right. And I'm still learning. I've been doing OK for a newbie, but I think I could do a lot better with the right info. And I think this is at least a clue. The second vid buffered a lot, and I'll have to check back, but I did watch the first one, and it hit home. I think that once I find the right schedule for me, then I'll be ok. But in the meantime, I'll be looking forward to your vids. I believe this is very important to success. Thanks again ![]() Michael Time is Money...Author Unknown |

I'm working as a freelancer and managing my time really is a struggle for me, so my employer advised me to use a certain program to help me manage my time effectively and thus will enable me to review or see what I have accomplished. Its very helpful for me because now I am able to budget and prioritize my work which needs to be done. |
