Wordpress plugin to make a search engine with aff feeds?
While looking at competitors in my niche, I noticed something I have actually seen numerous times.
What I'm doing is trying to rank some blog posts/pages for my main keyword, redirecting visitors to merchants I have an affiliate account with. What these competitors have is a website entirely made of affiliate product feed, searchable like a search engine. So I was wondering : in wordpress, is there a way to (easily) mix aff feeds from different merchants, and make them searchable to visitors with a simple search box? (at best cloaking your aff link in the process?) I know this exists since people do it a lot, but how can that be implemented in wordpress please? |

I think you can just make an autoblog that runs with affiliate feeds.
Then on the front page of your blog, just have a search box and nothing else. Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. RE: Wordpress plugin to make a search engine with aff feeds?
Hi Infinity, thanks for the answer.
Actually I'm trying to create an authority site, the way Vita shows it in his videos. But the fact is I'm promotting not only a product but a category of products, so it's a pain to add a product description + a pic + a link to the product. So what I'd like to do is keep the original content I created, one or two posts for each product sub category, and add this aff feed to other pages of my websites. I guess it's still possible using the autoblog idea right? If yes, can you point me to a resource or plugin that will help me achieve that? If not, do you see a better solution to achieve this (keeping in mind I'd like to integrate this feed stuff somewhere else than frontpage)? ps: for info, I'm not sure right now if I should let google index these new pages since they're nothing less than duplicate content. But : - my competitors do so and rank extremely well for let's say "productcategory productname" queries - it would certainly bring a huge number of new pages, but as of now it looks like it's better >>>but that's another step. |

I'm not really sure if I understood what you mean, but perhaps you could PM me with a link to your competitor's site so I could have a better look?
