Direct linking to money site - dangerous?

Should we link indirectly? I see a lot of people saying not to link directly to your money site, but to rather place your link on a site, than backlink that site like crazy. Couldn't you link directly but use a few different keywords?

In my opinion, linking to money site or page doesn't matter much. Thing is you gotta make sure that you build QUALITY links. I build links directly to my money site, never faced a problem. But, yes, I won't do crazy backlinking to my money site with Scrapebox or Xrumer.

By the way, it is a myth that you should spin your anchor text, in my experience, the moment I start varying anchor texts, my rankings suffer. Not to ready believe me? Well, Terry Kyle and Angela Edwards are strongly against varying your anchor texts.

I found it better to only be directing your quality content and non-spammy links to your main site.. if your using the likes of rummer only target your promoter sites and not your main sites..

The same with non-content related blog comments.. if it's related to your content then cool... if not send them to your promoter sites..

I agree with posters before me. Only add quality links to money site. Also yes on the anchor text, I had the same results while trying variations.

I have heard that huge backlinking with tools like AMR directly to the money site can cause issues to it. However if you are able to maintain the "rate of building backlinks" the same every day, then it should not be an issue.

Yes, that's true. I don't do that kind of stuff, but I know a marketer that was able to rank an adult site only by means of repeated huge scrapebox blasts. I don't have any info on his standings post-panda but it might be still working. It's not what I would recommend to anyone thugh.

@ girish : I don't see any place where VitaVee has advised not to do so. Any direct linking to money site can't be dangerous logically as long as its on continuous basis and seems natural to google. The point is quality backlinks. And yes that true that you should avoid crappy backlinking to your money site by using tools like xrumer. The reason being it doesn't look natural.

What I want to say is that if I do a blast of articles with AMR on one day and then do not do a blast for next 1 week, then it can cause an issue. But if I do a blast everyday then I will not have an issue.

I am sorry, but does that make sense to you?...

Those that tell you this, are your competitors how are trying to keep you behind.

If you dont link directly to your site, then how are you going to rank for your keywords?...

If it was "dangerous" wouldn't you think all the millions of sites that have links pointing directly to them would be in trouble by now?...

My advise is to just link directly to your money site.

It depends. If you keep direct linking from always the SAME websites (with Senuke for example), Google will find your blueprint or footsteps or whatever you wanna call it. I've tested this and what you get is simply nothing. you don't get penalised or so but you also don't rank well. So what you want to do is interlink your backlinks while adding a link to your money site. This approach has been explained by vita in his from zero to profits course. I think Nik and Jack can pretty much back me up here.

I do agree with building a strong network which links to your website. Whenever I do SEnuke submissions, aside from the 1-2 link(s) to my money page, I have 1 or 2 more links to other pages where I have backlinks. With SEnuke, it's only a few seconds of additional work, but a bigger benefit.

I don't recommend to go out of your way and only build backlinks for your backlinks. The only time this would be okay is when you own the website that links to your money page. For example, if you have a handful of satellite sites that link to your money site.
