Hard Times For "Gurus"?

Hard Times For "Gurus"?
As you all know that many product creators are moving to Plimus as Clickbank is making its policy a bit strict. In my opinion, recently launched products on Plimus were really bad. I guess Plimus doesn't want to ruin its reputation.

Got the email from Plimus today:

"We wanted to advise you we are no longer supporting Internet Marketing (IM) and Business Operations (Biz-Ops) products, for which our records show you are an affiliate. This does not affect any previous sales referrals you are due payment for. Payouts of those will proceed without issue. Since the product is no longer offered on Plimus there will be no future commissions to be earned."

Well, I hope that product creators start making some quality products instead of just rehashing old stuff to milk cows.

I also got this email today and I am very pleased that Plimus decided to take this step.

Also when Clickbank changed its rules it was discussed on this thread:

RE: Hard Times For "Gurus"?
I think it's a shame as plimus seems quite good. Maybe they could have brought in stricter rules like clickbank did?

@Rob

Totally agreed. Plimus should have made its policy strict. But people were abusing it like anything.

I guess, Easy Click Commissions ruined Plimus' repo. That software was in development phase and guys launched it (but they were rejected by Clickbank), I mean, that software was unable to make a single account and according to sales page, was supposed to give you hordes of traffic from a very "secret source". That "secret source" was actually article directories and software was unable to make account (even a single account) and total number of article directories was 6 (only 6).

Well, if you allow to appear such products from your platform, your repo will be destroyed for sure.

But what makes me more angry is the fact that people love these products. I am ashamed to tell but this product made me quite a lot of money during its launch. People still looking for an easy way, I wonder why.

RE: Hard Times For "Gurus"?
@Mathis I did not get this email, but I was thinking among the same lines. When I saw one product move from clickbank to plimus, knowing that CB changed it's rules recently, it was a dead giveaway as to the quality of the product. Why would any one do that, and the reason the product vendor gave in his email for switching over was due to testing and affiliates would make more commissions this way.

I think the reason why plimus made this drastic change is because it wouldn't have been productive to make new rules, as it would only effect vendors moving from clickbank. What ever the reason, I'm glad they made this change.

Hopefully now that their options are getting limited, they will stop the scammy promoting techniques. I knew the current trend could not last. Smile

@Nik

Also "Gurus" preferred Plimus because they get low refunds. People buy from Clickbank and usually most of them are aware of the refund process. With Plimus, first, you only have 30 days guarantee and then many people (maybe) are reluctant to write to them for refunds.

I see some refunds always if product is launched from Clickbank but with Plimus, not a single refund.

RE: Hard Times For "Gurus"?
I've never sold any clickbank products, but I have been interested in buying some of them. And I have to say, some of the sales pages just make me cringe. Who knows, apparently they work or else people wouldn't use them.

But when someone tells me they're going to tell me how to make $30,000 a month, my BS meter goes through the roof. And when they get to the "proof" that they provide with a screen shot, I just feel insulted.

But I'm not gonna drop any names. Rolleyes

RE: Hard Times For "Gurus"?
Some of those Clickbank products do work but you would never know it because they all look and sound the same. Here is the most obnoxious rich guy I've ever seen (online, that is) http://wealthlpp.com/richguy

There are literally thousands of good products being put on Clickbank by unknown talented people without any lists or affiliates to promote for them. Forget the gravity and actually LOOK a the product - you might be amazed at the variety of products you can sell and make real money with. Nobody is out to steal your commission when you're promoting chicken coops and potty training mice.

Or, this one. I sent this to my son because he thinks art doesn't pay well enough but I think it does if you're good at it. This Clickbank Sales page is REAL and the guy in the Video is soooo cute!! Too bad I can't design my way out of a paper bag even if it was on fire!! http://wealthlpp.com/artheme

Who knows, apparently they work or else people wouldn't use them.

That's what everyone is supposed to think. They have no reason not to assume the product works for everyone else or like you said people wouldn't use them. Then, most of them don't bother returning the product because it's not fair to the seller if he can't figure it out. How do you know what's really going on if you never communicate with anyone except the seller's email address. Where's the Click Cash Commando Forum for buyers to meet and greet each other.

I know what we should do! Take their traffic on every launch day.
Anyone want to? Let me know! I'm a software junkie too.
