Amazon Situation

Hi Vita and friends. Thanks for your niche video series. I hope you find time to make some more.

My question is, since Amazon pulled the plug on their California affiliates, do you have any suggestions or alternatives?

Your video series was heavily geared toward Amazon. I really liked the Advanced Search to find products but I believe that search is specific to Amazon.

The Amazon thing is just a big farce because Amazon says the States are trying to overrule the Federal laws using words taken out of context and using irrelevant cases. They didn't "try" they did and Amazon's not going for it.

Here's what I did 2 days later. Reapplied using my mothers address in Arizona and they gave me a new associates number and approved it within the hour. I know they didn't check the domain address because I didn't even have time to change it before the approval was there.

Doesn't everyone know someone in another State? Get on Craigs List and pick a State, any State will do! Now just offer to teach someone how to make Blog posts because you need their address to register one of your domains and if they continue making 1 blog post a day, the site will be all theirs in 1 year. Put up some ads, monetize it and give them the money - now you have a site for backlinks too.

Amazon might do address verification using your name, so just apply for a credit card using your new address and it will automatically add that address to your credit report whether you get approved or not. That's probably what Amazon's computers automatically do because I know I'm associated with my mother's address. Put your new email address in the email you use for Amazon and add that email to your paypal account and get paid as usual.

Look up Affiliate Window for the plugins for Overstock, Shareasale, Link Connector and Buy.at (I think)

I don't believe Amazon's affiliate sign up gives the company permission to run a credit check on you.

No, not a credit check like if you were applying for credit. That's not what I mean. There are databases that store information that large corporations like Amazon use to filter what goes where. Automatic processing usually goes through a series of checks when it has to do with money, especially taxes but maybe they don't care what address anyone uses. I don't know? It sure got approved fast when I changed my address that day so that's just what I thought it could have been.

maybe you can get PO boxes from other countries which have no issues and get them courier back to you the cheques? wonder that works?
