Pages not found, help...
Hi,
I have recently had to take an entrie section of my site down due to a serious secruity flaw in the commercial scripts I bought, which was causing a whole host of issues. This section was within a folder e.g. my-new-section/ and a lot of the pages had dynamic URLs and there was plenty of them. I took the scripts down from the folder, and changed the index within the folder to say that we are having some issues with that area at the moment. BUT, now obviously Google has tried to reindex a lot of the pages within the folder and can not find them again. So I need a way of making Google know that these pages have gone (redirect?) in a SEO friendly way, but I will be likely putting other pages within this same folder in the future so a full 301 redirect for any scripts within the folder may be unwise. Any help or pointers on what to do? Thanks |
