Why add a front page to Blogger?
I was just reading on the front page of this site on how to optimize your blogger blog to have all your posts point to your front page of your blog.
When setting up a front page in Blogger does it redirect you automatically to the front page of the blog everytime you click on a link? What i mean by that is to say my blog is on "helping people with computers" and lets say someone is googling on how to install a new hard drive, if they click on my link in the Google results will it auto direct them to my home page which is helping people on computer or will it take them to that specific post? Thanks -really confused on this one. |

RE: Why add a front page to Blogger?
No it doesn't auto redirect to the home page, I would not even call it this. Google simply ranks pages, when a visitor clicks on a page it directs them to that specific page.
In the case you describe if you have a post on "how to install a new hard drive" it's more likely that the post will be ranking for that term (since it will be better optimized than the home page). Have you become an employee to your own business by chasing first page google rankings on a daily basis? Start working on your business, NOT in it.
