Keywords in the Content
Hello,

I was wondering if you are ranking (or trying to rank) your homepage for a particular keyword phrase, is there any reason to try and get those keywords in the content on other pages of the site? Will it help with the overall theme of the site, which will help the homepage rank for that kw phrase?

Thanks!

RE: Keywords in the Content
Hi,

I think it is better to focus on one keyword phrase per page. The other page can be focused on another "related keyword phrase" and then you can put a link from this page to the homepage with the anchor text of keyword phrase for the home page - just like wikipedia does.

This will also help search engines to determine what your site is about and give proper authority status to it.

Thanks.

RE: Keywords in the Content
Your home page should be focused on ranking for your main keyword. And other pages, on smaller related keywords.

Example:
Home page= Make money online
page 1= easy way to make money online
page 2- how to make money with paid surveys
page 3- how to make money on ebay
and so on.

This is the best structure top have for a niche site.

RE: Keywords in the Content
As posted above, you can push the main kw/page by using LSI kwds linked to the page you wanna push. Kinda like a linkwheel on-site. It's very effective and will definitely help.

RE: Keywords in the Content
see what your competition is doing. analyse the top 10 of your keyword, see what they do and where they place the keyword. keep in mind you're in 2012; on and off page seo are not enough to rank well Smile
