Best words to add to domain
The domain name I had in mind was already taken, I know this has NEVER happened to anyone before. This is for a clickbank product. I still want this domain name but I will have to add to it. "Review" is taken, I was thinking "scam" at the end. What about "my" at the start. Would this affect SEO?

Any other suggestions?

RE: Best words to add to domain
Hi,

You can try "reviews", "scam", or a "z" or "s" at the end depending on the product name. Sometimes a "-" in between the product name and review is also fine although there are discussions whether a - is good or bad.
"my" is a stop word - just google for "profit instruments" and you will see a myprofitinstruments.com on the first page.
Similarly "get" is also a stop word.

Thanks.

RE: Best words to add to domain
I question whether or not keyword domains have any real value to speak of. I always wanted to think they did. My homepages are all domain keywords, I see no noticeable benefit.

I always pictured myself having 100 keyword domains, with the homepage ranking for 1 keyword. But I now have 3 sites that make decent money. 90% of that comes from interior pages.

The vast majority of my published blog posts have at least 1 keyword domain competing for the same phrase, some have more than 5. Only a few of these EMD's outrank my blog posts, and they're the ones with great link profiles.

I like Vita's approach with his euserreviews site, he outranks tons of keyword domains. And his domain looks like a real review site.

Last week I was looking for reviews about SENuke X. Knowing what I know about IM, I purposely didn't click through to any keyword domains...Actually, I found Vita's thread about it. Smile

And 1 time I searched "Local Mobile Monopoly Scam," well...that was just funny. I only clicked through to the sites for a laugh.

No offense intended if anyone here owns a LMM scam domain.

Has anyone ever checked GWT data to see if this lowers click through from SERPS? I guess it would depend who your target audience is...
