Every one said that back links can improve your SEO. I wana know how? Back links can Improve the site PR and also the search engine ranking? What are the factors of Back links that increase the PR and which one increases the Site positioning? Any one Explain it!!!!!

I do not know what you mean by "Baacklinks can improve SEO" - backlinks are a method of off-page SEO which helps the website to rank higher in Google serps.
If a site gets a backlink from a high PR page it is of more value than having a lot of links from a low PR page.

Increasing PR is a factor of content on the website and how much authority google gives to that particular site.

Like Girish said backlinks are a means of increasing your search engine position for a specific keyword or phrase.

Image the web as a bunch of hubs. Each website is a hub. Some are big some are small, and all are interlinked amongst each other. And then register your first hub (website). At this point your hub is standing on the sideline by itself because no one is pointing to it. It's not popular yet.

The reason backlinks work is it makes your hub more popular. Does this make sense?

You are right Girish back links are method of off page SEO it helps the site higher in search engine.But i think backlink is not use in increase your site PR. Because PR depends on user behavior.

Actually I disagree with you jemsrav. Backlinks still play a big part in increasing a website's PR. It is possible to register a brand new domain today and easily get it to PR2 in one or two months only by building backlinks. Other things play a part too, but backlinks is still the biggest.

I think your right I agree with you backlink is increase site PR but I am also right user behavior is also responsible for increase site page rank.
