I'm a bit surprised no one mentioned this before (unless I might have missed a post?), Yahoo Site Explorer is no longer among us.

Wow, I didn't notice that. I know that many keyword tools had switched to using majestic SEO. It shows a lot more backlinks than Yahoo site explorer did.

Majestic seo...I'll have to check that out. I thought everybody got their data from Yahoo.

Is there anything that works in the same way as SEO Quake? Where the data is displayed over the results in the google serps?

I feel like a deer in the headlights...

Keyword elite? Market samaraui? What are your suggestions?

Yup Majestic SEO is what we use at the office now too. the free version shows you the amount of backlinks that you have. If you want a full list of the backlinks, you'll have to pay.

As far as the plugins or software go, I haven't been able to check any of them yet but most of them were indeed based on yse.

Yep! you are very right now Yahoo site explorer is not among us. It has been studdown and now you will find there about bing webmaster tool. Which means bing is final taking over the things from yahoo and now yahoo is displaying bing results...

This tool looks pretty good. http://backlinkwatch.com/ It listed more links than Open Site Explorer, and lists most of the anchor texts + other factors. Not sure if it is new, or maybe I just found it.

It also appears to show more links than YSE did.
