It's great to know that there is a service to help us if we do get hacked. Any tips to prevent hacking on Wordpress sites? I always update WP, and the only plugin I normally use is Yoast SEO. I use the Suffusion theme.

I heard the Statcounter plugin in vulnerable, but I need it because I'm getting clickbombed weekly.

Any tips for a WP newb

DreamHost Hacked - Change Your Passwords Now ! All Dreamhost customers should read this post immediately and change all related passwords (including WordPress ones). Dreamhost said "Last night we detected some unauthorized activity within one of our databases." They say there's "no evidence that customer passwords were taken", but they''re pushing out password changes to everyone just to be safe.

Malware that regenerates itself once cleaned up...

Please pay attention: once your site gets cleaned up, it is a wise decision to REMOVE the offensive module / plugin; even cleaned up, if kept, there is a big chance for that module / plugin to re-download and re-install the INFECTED state files...

Hi there,

My website recently got hacked and it was a wordpress blog, so eventually google de-indexed it, blacklisted .. blah blah blah

so i managed to now get the fresh install of the wordpress, added the content again each and everything, and now it ok but and google indexed it again but the only problem now is that the site still is blacklisted what can you do to remove that please ?

It addresses the issues of getting your site white listed again. I believe you have to submit through webmaster tools, or something like that.
