Did anyone experienced that google alerts feeds stopped working recently?

I found free service to better organize and filter Google alerts feeds, if anyone is interested in to narrow down targeting their niches. The service is AlertRank.com.

Earlier I had problems using ping.fm I am not sure exactly how to use this service properly. I understand I have to set up accounts manually at the web 2.0 sites, but after that what do I need to do? Steps in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

This thread has been inactive for a while now. I will say this---even though it's a bit aged, as a newbie I found it very informative.

I follow Marlon Sanders a lot and he mentions Social Oomph to efficiently manage social media. Do you all agree with this approach as a timesaver ? Another one I see mentioned a lot is "Tweet Attack" But it also seems that you may need a VPS, proxies, etc, to be safe with more automated approaches ?

Great tips! Another one that always seems to work is keeping your Facebook updated with fresh content. Branching out to friends and relatives is also a good way to start spreading the word about your business especially on Facebook.
