Well guys i just found the dream tool on spying over the Adwords competition on Google

It also works for novices BUT it's not as easy as it sounds. The problem is not the google cash detective itself. The problem comes from adwords.

New adwords accounts have a low quality score and have to pay high per click to have good rankings for their ads.

It's very important for someone who created an adwords account quite recently to focus first on increasing his account quality score.

What's the solution to getting a better quality score? Chris talks about getting a domain with the keyword in it...this is supposed to help get a better quality rating...but what else works?

I was looking foward to getting the detective when it comes out next week. And how long does it take, using his methods. to get on the level of the successful players in PPC?

Honestly I don't know how much time it takes because I have opened my account several years ago and I created targeted campaigns from the very beginning. I don't really know after how much time my account got a high quality score, I don't even know if this was an issue at the time I opened my account I think the quality score didn't even exist at this time or at least it was not the same strict algorithm as today.

At the time I mainly used my account to make some adsense arbitrage. I was sending a ton of traffic to a site made for adsense and this traffic was making me more money than what I was paying for. That was great, easy money. We can't do it anymore because adwords detect this now.

What IS a good quality score? Mine seem to be around 5-7 for various keywords. Is this good, bad, or indifferent?

I wanted to try GCD but I am so new to PPC and we did not have much success with it in the past, I am hesitant to put out more money. But I would love to know what keywords are competitors are using!! We can only lower our prices so much without giving them away!

7 is a great score.

You can see a textual representation of your keywords quality score in your adwords account. Here are the steps to follow (taken from the adwords help section):

2. Select the appropriate campaign and ad group.
3. Click the Keywords tab.

I don't agree with GCD as it everyone has a different account history with Google. Your account history effects your quality score, your bids, your add positioning etc.

Everyone has a different account history and although GCD gives you the ability to "detect" successful keywords and products, this is only relevant to the account, biding history, quality score, click though rate, of the user.

It may give you the ability to uncover successful adwords campaigns, but these campaigns are have been tweaked, and optimized for profitability over time.

Just my opinion though.

In Vita's other forum, I posted a video that one of Perry Marshall's students made. It was of he and and friend of his running almost identical Adwords campaigns, promoting the same affiliate offer. The guy who made the video had a good account history. His friend was a new user. Their CPC's were wildly different, and if I remember correctly, their percentage of impressions given by Google were also different.

I bought GCD through Vita and in parallel started a new business driven by Adwords. It is a hungry, under-served market. I made $450 in March and in June, I earned over $3300. So, the good news is that you CAN make Adwords work. My average CPC in my first campaign was .35 and now for July thus far, in same campaign, it is .22. Huge difference.

What did you do to drop your CPC from .35 to .22 ?

I don't know, I like adwords because this is where the traffic is. IMHO it's better to stick with adwords but to never overbid and to only create small ultra-targeted campaigns to increase the account quality score.

You might even make nice profits by doing so.

google cash detective in my opinion the best ppc tool out there. Even I am not a member because I focus on marketing with organic traffic (traffic from the search engines)
