Some hosting companies have a library of them you can use for free. Hostgator has a good library of free mini-sites.

I tried to google this but I am unclear on the difference between a website and a landing page. We have an e-commerce store where we sell physical products. My husband will also be promoting a physical product, related to musical instruments.

What is the difference between a landing page and a web site??? Should I get both?? Is one "better" over the other?

I beleive a landing page is usually the first page that a prospect goes on, it is usually used by internet Marketers to get your details to add to their Database. Once you have put those details on the landing page and submitted them you will got to their web site or sales page. Some people seem to combine the two but it is best to only allow a prospect to do one thing on the page (don't want to confuse them they may leave). If you build a database then you can Market to it at a later date. Just like Vita Vee is doing here. Hope that helps.

There is some confusion here about nomenclature and functionality and I hope I can help to clear it up...

This is what I think...

There are Landing Pages and there are Squeeze Pages.

Actually, a Squeeze Page is just a special sort of landing page.

A Landing Page is simply that. it's the first page a visitor lands on when the click on a link somewhere else on the internet. If you have a multi-page website usually the Home Page becomes the Landing Page.

A Squeeze Page is a special kind of landing page that hs only one purpose. to get the email (and name) address of the visitor. (The page is designed to 'sqeeze' that information out of them.

If the visitor gives that information, they are then redirected to the second landing page which is usually the home page of a website or a sales letter.

When people talk about 'landing page templates' they are usually talking about Squeeze Page templates - but not always....

'Fancy' landing (not squeeze page) pages are used when people are doing PayPerClick (e.g. AdWords) advertising, particularly for Affiliate products.

In this case the landing page has to 'pre-sell' the visitor with the product on offer so that the visitor clicks on an affiliate link and is taken to a Vendor's sales page.

These types of landing pages are also often available as templates.

Whatever template you use, it should be optimised and tested over and over to get the best conversions, whether that be opt-ins to a list or click-throughs to and affiliate vendor's website.

Takes time and a lot of traffic.

Don't forget that GCD members have full access to Niche Review Templates. They have a lot of templates that are built around Clickbank products. They do look good but you are limited to the products you can sell.

This is what intend to do for an upcoming project:

1. pick a product from Niche Review Templates that has good gravity and alexa ranking
2. research keywords with Market Samurai that are low competition with reasonable search volumes
3. fire it out using Link Dozer!
4. make some money
5. repeat the above

Everyone else will be using high competition keywords through GCD. But using Market Samurai will identify more potential. If you haven't got a keyword tool, I highly recommend it.

I would invest in the time to learn html and css. It will benefit you in the long run and give you much more flexibility but if time is an issue then I use flexsqueeze and tinker with the code to make it the way I want it
