promoting affiliate products
Hello,
Is there another way to work the affiliate promotion thing, besides providing the links to the actual sales page? I mean, as far as I can see, if my visitors decide to buy my promoted product, they still need to go to the vendor sales page and probably read through a lengthy copy before they actually click the buy button. Do I need to ask the vendor to provide me with a way to give my prospects a direct buy option? cheers! rafa. IMSutra, what the gurus do, not what the gurus say. |

RE: promoting affiliate products
Hi Metalhorn,
Ok I don't know if you are a master sales copywriter or not but I am going to assume you are not. If you are promoting affiliate products in the IM niche then you shouldn't be trying a hard presell leave that to the sales page most of these guys have been in the game a long time and there sales copy is tested often they will have had 5 or more different versions before the one you see when the product is live. So for the IM niche you need to be pre selling softly by reviewing always give your visitors the option to go immediately to the sales page at the top of your review/presell. This way they don't need read your pre sell or review if they don't want to. If they arrive on your page then they will be looking for a review or opinion on the product in question they will already know there will be a sales page involved for the product so don't worry about that. As I said this applys to the IM niche products for other niches it may well be a different story and there are people here far better qualified to advise you than me so I wont even attempt to Regards Ron |

Thank you Ron!
You cleared my doubts on this subject. I think I can apply this easily to the niche I'm working on (working from home). BTW, I'm a complete IM newbie. Best regards. rafa. IMSutra, what the gurus do, not what the gurus say. |

RE: promoting affiliate products
Hello Kowndkrul
Yes you can of course promote old affiliate products as long as they have a good search volume. But it's actually easier to promote new products, and often much more profitable. If you go for old products, then there is no difference in the way you should promote them compared to new ones. Soft reviews and offering bonuses will increase your conversions dramatically. RE: promoting affiliate products
Having just set up my first IM site I am intending to post reviews on some "old" products just to have some review content in place and add some substance to the site (other than straight articles), prior to adding a new product launch review.
However, I will be selective in my choices of old products - they must be products that continue to be popular and useful to this day. A good example for me is Keyword Elite 2.0. I would also promote Market Samurai as well if they had an affiliate program in place. Both of these products provide excellent value IMHO and continue to be updated and improved, and I continue to use them both on a regular basis. I recommend:
