2010 predictions for Internet Marketing

Let's share what you guys think things will change in 2010 in IM, whether you heard it somewhere or it's your own guess.

Here's mine
I think the major change will be "real time searches in Google" which means they will try to give their users fresh and relevant results by default. So it can change the whole scene of seo as real time means your website position may change every minute or hour and lot of more work will be needed to keep the position. By the way its not my prediction it's rumor floating around.

And one is Bing may give hard competition to Google. I have already seen the Bing is updating its feature very fast. And in many cases Google is found copying the new features from Bing.

Spam SEO tools fading away because G is getting smarter and smarter.

I think we're going to see a LOT more social marketing thanks to recent-ish products like Goobert, Nanobloggers, and Google Traffic Pump.

I also agree that Google is getting smarter, and perhaps more 'social' in its indexing. Combined with the new traffic methods mentioned above, I think it is an important sign that building sites and products of value is the way to go.

Authenticity will prevail - I fancy that sweatshop writers are on the way out.

I think in 2010 , I like to learn how msn bing and yahoo is giving impotance , I know that is not big as google but bings markets share is some what around 8 - 9 % and its increaseing and yahoo 's might be some 16- 20 % so its really good source to get the traffic.

I believe there will be a larger focus on LOCAL..

- I've found that the more I focus on local keywords the faster I get ranked for clients (eg. Keyword + Suburb) rather that just the standard term that everyone else is going after.

- Video SEO (My fav, as I have been making a killing for ages)

- To take your skills and apply them to offline bricks and mortar businesses and earn a nice income (once again targeting local keywords = Keyword + Suburb/Region/Area)

- More and more video sales pages, as it is coming cheaper by the day

- Another alternate is out of the box videos - where you or a professional actor can welcome your visitors for the first time, and if they are returning, a message of Welcome Back. (I am just about to work in with a studio in Australia with the largest green screen studio to do this.)

- I'm also working in with the same company to work at getting their Apple iPhone / Smart phone app out there, which is like a Video Yellow Pages, that also comes with a Video Phone number (so besides a Phone, Fax, Email address you'll also have a Vid number).

I think that Network Marketing is going to be on the rise in 2010 as well. Obviously every network marketing company is not designed to be marketed online.

However, those companies that have intangible products especially, those types of companies that specialize in education and virtual products are going to increase tremendously...

I also predict that YouTube will slowly start to lose pagerank to some new websites in 2010 if they don't stop banning accounts without reason.
