Thank you for all your explanations.

Do you work with the french market, or do you work only with the english speaking market?

I'm from France (me too).

And if you tried both, is it worth to work with the french market?

The english market is much bigger, all the tools and sites are made for it and people love to buy but I have a hard time writing in english.

The french market is maybe less competitive, the market is smaller, I don't know if the backlinks from american web 2.0 works well with french websites...

What is your experience, what do you think?

Hi Bob,

I'm only working with the english market, it's more competitive but there are also more customers. My wife has started a site for the french market though, it's her first attempt and it's not too bad. She has got some traffic and some sales. All the links she built were coming from SEnuke so it's definitely possible to use english sites to promote french pages

ratio in the English and French market,

What would you say?

For me it's a pain in the ass to write in english,

so I need to know how many times the english market beat the french market.

Ah the French market!

Oui il y a bien moins de concurrence ... et d'acheteurs potentiels.

Et les outils sont en anglais c'est donc probablement plus etroit mais pour demarrer pourquoi pas.

Amazon et Commission Junction peuvent etre des points de departa etudier.

Les cles du success restent le trafic et le positionnement dans Google.

I guess if you are french then marketing to french people may produce some results. Although I can't say how much sales you could expect because it may look surprising but even in developed countries people online behavior varies a lot.

The people of USA and UK are more internet savvy and average lifestyle of average person there is still way higher than any person in the world even after recession.
