Hi there,

I'm sorry for the lack of updates these last weeks (months???) but as I said in a previous post I'm putting my focus on some other projects that I do really have to complete. After I complete them I'll be able to update this video series much more often.

But I have been able to record a few videos anyway, and these ones are releated to your wordpress settings.

More to come, having wrong initial settings can kill your efforts later.

I guess I will learn how to use WordPress now. Until now I've been concerned about using it due to not knowing what plugins to use. I've often heard that some plugins conflict with others...and knowing that some people use 15 or more plugins on a single WordPress really raised my concern.

I'm hoping that through this video series, I'll learn what to use so that I end up with a well SEO'd WordPress site.

I have followed all the videos and have got everything ready
and just waiting for your instructions on how to go about
placing the articles in the relevant categories and internal
linking in the WP blog.

Do not want to get this wrong and therefore have not placed
the articles in the blog yet.

I know you are very busy but would be greatly obliged if you could
tell on how to go about placing the articles and internal linking in the WP blog.

@s0m30ne Yes there are a lot more that I plan to record: after setting up the blog we will see the best way to organize the articles, then why, how and when to update the pages, then how to monetize the site, how to promote it to get top rankings etc... It's probably going to be about 15 parts.

@Ushekar Do you mean how to install the wordpress blog on your server?

what theme are you using for this? I set up some sites with thesis theme but Headspace will not work with it.

I set up two test sites and tried to figure out for myself the rest of this method. One site is an info domain and the other is a com. the info is ranking well, but the com has got hit so hard by google it is still falling around dizzy.

I installed headspace plugin, but I have this mesage at the top of the page:
" There are some issues with your theme that may prevent HeadSpace functioning correctly.
1.wp_footer was not found in footer.php "

How to solve that ?

It's looking for the following bit of code in your footer.php file

<?php wp_footer(); ?>

I don't actually use it on one of my sites and it hasn't caused any issues... that i know of... but I have been meaning to get to putting it in...

Hi Peter,

Basically... the wp_footer() calls some functions that are used by certain plugins...

They may be useful... they may be not... really depends on the plugin...

If you want to add it in... got into your footer.php file and before the last </div> put the bit of code in... so your last 2 lines looks like:
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
</div>

Save the file and reload your page to see if it changed anything in the footer...

an other question I had my signature at the bottom of my post I previewed it before updating and could see the anchor text in blue: "One-Click Articles Submission to 350+ directories !! "

But as you see it is not appearing inlive, instead you have :
" <a href='http://www.budurl.com/yh2l'>One-Click Articles Submission to 350+ directories !!</a> " !!!

Why,any idea ?
