Information Is Adsense Dead?
Hey Guys,

I have few websites monetized with Adsense and I am making few bucks with them, but lately I have observed that the CPC (Cost Per Click) has pretty much gone done...

Is there anyone else here playing Adsense game? If yes, please share the best strategy you are using to make it work...

Thanks a lot guys Smile

I don't think adsense is dead but it's not the best way to make money.
We talked a little bit about it in this thread:

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
AdSense is deffinitely not dead. There is a thing called "smart pricing" that effects your account globally. So if one of your sites has been "smart priced" then it will effect all of your sites. That is why it is important to make sure you sites are of extremely high quality with good content.

I have been doing very well with AdSense even under lowered CPC from previous years. AdSense should be apart of your strategy. You should also look to place affiliate products on your site in conjunction with AdSense or in replacement of it to help boost your earnings as I have done.

If you have a blog you can also use Kontera contextual ads as well. Its free and can add another source of revenue without using any extra ad space

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
It seems that everyone is spamming every forum with this nonsense. You even have your afifliate link on the URL you gave.

I find it funny that those who do not know how to make money from a program start declaring it dead -- and then make money from that. One thing I'd grant, this guy knows how to tap viral marketing and you are only too willing to spread this (and earn commissions from him).

Google Adsense is NOT for every website. Some sites fit well with the program better than the others. Because of the nature of the sites, some will earn $10,000 a month while others can only earn $10 a month.

Plus, many publishers decide to create "made for Adsense" sites -- sites that have NO value to visitors and created for the sole purpose of slapping Adsense ads on the site and hoping to rake in big bucks. Only to find that they've been smartpriced till kingdom come and no matter what keyword research they do to build a made for adsense site for supposedly top-paying keywords, all they get is a few pennies (when they thought they are supposed to earn thousands per day).

Then there are those who employ spammy and black hat search engine techniques in an effort to boost traffic and increase Adsense revenue -- only to be penalized by the search engines. With 80% of their traffic gone, their income falls to a thud.

Instead of saying Adsense is dead (which is SO FAR from the truth), why don't you analyze what's wrong with your site and how you can improve your earnings?

Hey Anna,

Martin asked a question and didn't even post an affiliate link.
He was just asking.

Sorry, but after reading all your posts here on this forum and the different threads you have started I'm forced to ban your account.

It's not personal though, just want to keep this forum a friendly place to browse.

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
I don't think Adsense is dying as such, it's just becoming more difficult to make money from it. Which isn't a bad thing - now in order to do well you need a decent site with good content.

I run a fair few adsense sites, and the better ones definitely make more money.

Vita Vee,

Yes. I make a lot of my money from AdSense. I have many sites and have had them for quite sometime because they (back in the day) where the quickest way to monetize your websites.

Its a volume game yes. Its also a keyword game too. Crap keywords with low payouts equals low results so you need to know how to research a niche.

BUT!!

In saying that, I have many sites that earn me $30 per month ONLY. People laugh, I know. But I have over 100 like that. You do the math.

I have other sites that earn very well in AdSense and a few which are complete failures.

BUT!!

One caveat though. I must say it is a lot of work to ensure that your sites don't get smart-priced. So your content needs to be highly targeted with high user intent otherwise you will see a significant drop in earnings.

AdSense is really a content-mans-game. If you don't like creating content, good content, then AdSense won't pay you well. IMO.

That looks like a lot of work. Have you considered monetizing your hundreds of websites with affiliate products? You could make much more money.

Or maybe you could find some good CPA offers for some of your sites?

I'm sure you probably have already thought about this but I would be interested in knowing why you keep working with adsense?

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
Content syndication. Lots and lots of high quality content published everywhere.

Increasingly, whether it's Adsense, Adwords, or SEO - if it's about Google, it's about quality content. I really don't see any other way to compete over the long haul.

Some of it will work well with Adsense and some won't. It seems to me that the only real answer is to test, test, test - and let the market tell you what works.

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
I have made a little money with Adsense...and I mean very little. I understand the model with being successful with Adsense but it just make much sense to ME to spend the amount of time some of these guys like John (X Factor) do trying to get a site to be successful with Adense.

So much of the same keyword research and niche research are similiar...so it doesn't seem to make much sense to me to spend a bunch of time trying to get a site to make $1 day when you can do much of the same stuff with affiliate sites and make much more.

Adsense still has its place...but there is a lot of work that goes into it and you need to most likely have a lot of sites.

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
I have some sites that I've had up for many years all with original content that still pay very well for Adsense clicks. Example: One of my credit repair sites with about 70 original articles I wrote made me $3.16 for one click just yesterday. I usually make around $100 to $150 a month from Adsense on that site which I haven't touched for months. I also make a few clickbank sales each month.

I don't know if it's the original content I have or what and who knows with Google but it's easy and steady money. Some of my other weight loss sites earn a little more with Adsense because I get more traffic to those sites. My weight loss sites clicks pay me anywhere from 60 cents to $2 and I also have original content on those sites.

I'm a fiction writer so fortunately writing new content is easy for me. I also get a lot of back links to my sites with my articles and other linking techniques that work well to drive steady traffic. I'm always puzzled when I hear that Adsense is dying off.

RE: Is Adsense Dead?
In the past I never had any luck with adsense but I'm rediscovering it now that I have content rich sites. Just started this month with adsense again and although it's not making me rich, it's making me $10 a day so I can build from there.
