What language is best to start programming in?
I'm not completely new to programming, but I've been finding it difficult to choose 1 program to stick with. Here's what I'm looking for:
Something relatively easy. Something I can make GUIs in. Something I can program hardware in (PIC/ Picaxe). Something I can make simulations in. Something versatile that I can use in a wide variety of things. Please, no C#, Alice, Scratch, or Greenfoot. I understand that this is a broad range, so multiple answers are ok. |

If you are looking for something easy to learn on, why not try on VB. Lots of IM tools built from vb itself, it is easier to pick up.

If you want to make a career in programming you must have to start with C++,it's the mother language of programming. It's little bit difficult to learn but once you get the hang of it you can do anything with it cuz it's the lowest level language after machine language.

Yes, I'd highly recommend C++ based on your description of the language's criteria that you wish to learn. However, if you need to go lower-level than C++, you can consider Assembly language too (and yes, I know you can do inline assembly in C++, but that's not the same, is it?). As alternatives, you should probably check out VB and Delphi too. In my opinion, you'll be able to use them decently within a shorter time frame than if you are learning C++ from scratch. |

For a beginner, its best to start with C or C++ for a programming.By start this language all basics of programming language is cleared to you. If u want to go for the easy programming language then you have to go for VB.net or Asp.net.JAVA is also one of the main programming language but for it your basics of C and C++ will be cleared. PHP ,C# and C sharp are the recently used programming languages. You also start with PHP, its scope and usage is too high in the programming and its related field.
