Get offline SEO clients.
Hi,
I am sure some of you have already been doing - get offline SEO clients. This sounds to be some hard work but once you get those clients, it will be an easy money per month. Particularly doctors, builders, small investment firms should be your target. These guys do not understand what SEO is? You can even design a site (or outsource if you cannot) for them. Remember, these people do not understand what SEO is (most of the time)? So you need to tell them in detail what kind of benefits they can expect by placing their site on top rankings. It can be a sell, it can be a lead. Either you charge them per month (my favorite) or charge them one time fee. It's just a matter of time before they see those advantages of getting high rankings online and you will start to get some referrals from your existing client. Landing Page Optimization |

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
I know that this was posted about 2 months ago, how do you structure your monthly fees? Do you charge for the amount of hours or do you charge a flat fee?

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
You wouldn't charge an hourly amount. You would charge them a monthly fee based upon the terms that both of you agree.
You could offer several different monthly packages for example. And then they pick which one they want. RE: Get offline SEO clients.
Hi,
What you need to do is 1) Go out and find some local businesses that you think you might be able to help with IM 2) Do some Basic Keyword Research about the local business niche 3) Create a Video Landing Page for the Local Business 4) Get or Write some spinable articles 5) Launch your campaing for the local business and start getting leads for them 6) Once you have some leads, go to the local business, explain what youve done, and sell them your campaing based on the results 7) Charge them accordingly to how much money they will make per each lead Hope this helps! John51602 The best Payment structure - taking into account that the work (SEO, VSEO, SEM etc) you perform for them will take immediate effect You need to take into account the duration of the work - minimum being 3 months Generally u can get an idea of the prices other sites charge - most display pricing Your pricing should take into account everything that they (other seo companies) are offering and most do give the client an indication of how many backlinks they will get - and some I have seen. The best payment structure taking into account all of that and for any SEO work I believe is an upfront month payment and then a retainer So say 3 months seo work $6000 First Month $3000 2nd Month $1500 3rd Month $1500 The first month normally covers the SEO and then the first set of SEM 2nd Month continuation of the SEM, Off Page Optimisation 3rd Month Repeated That’s how I do my payment structure Also don’t lower your pricing - I wouldn’t put the passionate hours I put into any project for anything less than the going rate - if you have to lower it for financial reasons - remember that when your performing the work for your client and don think that you will mess a few things because they won’t notice - it’s better to stick with your pricing that’s the going rate to that of what the other main sites will be doing |

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
Yes, we find that SEO is something that isn't always widely recognized or understood. So, it is important to spread the word about what exactly it is that we SEO'ers do for the client. Once they realize the benefits and see the results, the referrals start coming.

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
One way is to start by offering just one service that you are happy providing your self or that you can happily outsource and offer that alone.
Once a client gets results from your first service offering they will be much easier to sell on further services. You can then keep adding services and start building out complete packages. Just see the Warrior forum for examples of complete internet marketing packages. Perhaps the easiest one to start is Article Distribution in which you offer a bespoke article writing and distribution/publishing service to increase brand awareness and get their name 'out there'. Much easier sell than article marketing for SEO. |

There are plently of companies that show their prices on line. Do some research and compare what each offer for the price they work for. There is a wide range out there

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
Even though this was an older thread by the time this newbie found it, I really appreciated the commonsense advice I found here. It turns out that a potential "offline" client may practically fall into my lap. They already have a website, blog and fan page but don't seem really savvy about traffic generation. I like Kram's advice about starting with something concrete that I feel comfortable with and then scaling up. It seems that what my potential client needs most right now (other than press releases and relationships) is some basic link-building. I could probably easily outsource and manage a single backlink package push for them. If they're comfortable we can go from there.

The amount depends on how difficult the work will be and how long I estimate it should take to get the desired results. Don't sell yourself short either. They need you and you are the expert compared to them, so you should be getting paid plenty for you work! |

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
It is definitely not easy to send out quotes to clients for them to accept you.
Since you mentioned about getting clients, I've learned from this article that it is not enough to get any client. It is best to target the high-end clients. These are the clients who are willing to pay you for what you are really worth. When you settle for less, you'll only end up doing much more work. It is also worth noting that alongside presenting yourself well, you should be able to know what you are capable of. Only state something you know you CAN do. That should help for building trust to your clients. |

RE: Get offline SEO clients.
Perhaps it's a lapse in basic knowledge on my part, but what exactly do you mean by offline SEO clients? A lot of people might get confused seeing as the very essence of SEO does not work without the internet, and if your are going to be using the term "offline" you are going to have to be more specific with your explanation. Still, having clients that will turn to your for SEO is a very good trade, especially since a lot of people don't understand or simply cannot be bothered to do their own SEO and website management.
