Rank Tracker Tool for Article Market Research Not working?

A while ago VV posted a technique from the warrior forum where you can use search string designed to find top ranking articles in ezinearticles. Once you find the most viewed articles you can use google keyword tool and rank tracker to determine which specific keywords those top performing articles are optimized for. I have tried it several times and I never get a key word that appears in the top 10 results. Meaning that the articles are not appearing in the top 10 of google.

Becuase of this...
1. Am i doing something wrong?
2. Are ezine articles not ranking in the front page of google anymore for many topics?
3. How else can I find out what he optimized for if the rank tracker is giving me no results
4. What are other techniques people are doing to find out which keywords highly viewed articles are optimized?

If you read the whole post, many people were having the same problem (no top 10 ranked key words after using Rank Tracker), but no answer was given. If you try this method and do get different results, please let me know.

There a pretty cool article checker tool that I guy put together. You can basically use this one tool to find top performing articles in ezine articles as well as other article directories. I have not used it yet, but thought I would share it here.
