Hi There Everyone,
Greetings to all our forum members. I've been following the "Spinner Chief" thread here with great interest and it appears to me that it will be a great free tool for all struggling Newbies. Don't I just love free tools!

The actual reason for my visit is that I've constructed my first blog/website.

I will appreciate it if any members of this forum could take a critical look at it and advise me how to improve on it and where mistakes were made.

I want to Search Engine Optimise my site according the tried and trusted VV method but as I'm going to do this manually I don't want to waste time if there are flaws in the site which will affect good page ranking.

Hi anwari, this looks like a very big site, you seem to have a little bit about everything. One thing I would recommend in the future is to host your own site, because currently you're in the hands of blogspot. And personally i don't like this, especially if I put a lot of work at creating and promoting it.

Should the correct url be http://www.dogtrainingclub01.blogspot.com ?

If it were me I would set up my own domain and have it hosted by a company like hostgator. Using a web 2 service, you are at the whim of that service and have FAR less flexibility in doing all sorts of cool seo stuff.

But I see you don't have much content there. You could probably change the homepage so it doesn't look like default content is there.

Mmm, weird. I apparantly went to the wrong site before. I thought I entered the dot in the right spot but I guess I got it wrong. So forget what I said about the content thing. (Unless you have changed some stuf since I first posted)

Nevertheless, like Nik and I said, you would be better off having your own domain so you will have more flexibility.

Hi Anwari,

I like your site and I see you did great work with it.

Here are my points:
1. I am a little confused. Too many products
2. Sales, sales, sales: I think it must be more user friendly more tips and videos like the one how to train your dog to stop barking.
3. The background image great nature scene (I love nature) but my eyes got tired (not the right word).
4. Definitely what Jack and Nik said about your own domain and hosting. I had a bad experience with one of my sites with blogetery and now my money sites are mine!

First thing i see only prices, prices and prices, no useful tips or content. Also the backround is distracting, i would leave it a solid color.

Can anyone advise me how to use VV's pinglist on my blogspot site as it only allows you to ping it to weblogs.com.

I havent looked, but you probably cant change the ping list because its controlled by blogspot.

If you want to avoid mistakes the first time, you need to listen to everyone here. You need to get your own domain. You will be severely limited in what you can do with blogspot. Furthermore, after you put hours of work into it, blogspot could delete it without notice or explanation.

You definitely do not wish to let blogspot/blogger to decide your blog's fate after spending efforts in it. They can end your blog if your competitor find some excuse and lodge a complaint.

I still remember the frequent downtime that blogspot used to have when they are HOT, years ago.. nobody can guarantee they will not be down again.

Hi Amwari,

Regarding your question, the only way around blogspot's ping to weblogs.com, is to ping your posts with services like pingomatic. I think you have not the choice to add a ping services list while you are not the owner of the site!
